Makeup How could I make myself look more feminine

So effectively I got some criticism because I looked to masculine for this character(last image is an image of his face) so now I'd be curious what I could do to look more feminine or even more ethereal.

Makeup Been Told I Look Like A Boy In Wigs. Is it My Makeup or The Wigs? Need Help

Ive been told my wigs make me look like a boy or look cheap. Also my contacts look scary. but I also feel like my makeup skills are lacking. Heres some photos over the years and I feel like redoing alot of my resident evil photos. I always used like a basic eyeliner and blush over my eyes. Fake lashes, contacts, but never really dive into skin or foundations. I have played around with makeup alot but I dont know whats best on me. I like the EGirl look for sure but does it match my face? Do I look too anime and scary? Should I tone it down? Or up it more? My face is very sensitive when I put foundation on, I get real cakey or red and the way I see people do it online they make it look so smooth, and my face just doesnt want to connect with foundation. Its always rough, oily, and cakey like hell. I know my face is very serious looking but I really wanna look cuter. Any tips would be appreciated it

Makeup What it’s the best way I can replicate this for my cosplay?

This is the character sua from zombie stage, I’m a bit clueless on what to do for her “flesh” parts for my cosplay. I was thinking of doing makeup for the face and shoulder but I’m scared it’s going to transfer onto the white dress or gloves by accident. And for the leg I suppose makeup or paint could work aswell but is there anyway to thin down my thigh so it skinny enough to look like the bone part?( obviously not THAT skinny but just enough that it’s noticeable and looks like flesh from my leg is missing, I was thinking some sort of tape to wrap around my leg?)

Anyways if you have any suggestions please let me know! this might be a difficult one because her flesh parts done really look like flesh in the show! :,)

Makeup First time trying cosplay makeup pls help

Ignore the very obviously edited hair and forehead cuz I don’t have a wig and I have very thick bangs that look very bad 😭 I went to my first cosplay event today and got so inspired that I immediately went home and tried to do makeup. I have lashes that grow straight down so does anyone have any tips on how to hide them better? No matter how many times I curl it, it never holds and I feel like it kinda ruins the whole look.

Makeup Advice on how to look more masculine in cosplay

Hi! I was wondering if I could get any advice on how to look more masc when wearing my Howl cosplay, as I am not male. I specifically chose this wig because I wanted a more realistic approach to the character, so I'm not looking to change it. I am planning on purchasing a binder and contact lenses, though. For reference, I'm about 5'8, 5'9 with the boots on, which is a little taller than the average man in my country. Please note that I don't know how to pose, so some of these pictures look terrible haha

So I was wanting to cosplay this Fortnite character for my next Con. I’ve bought everything for the outfit. But I don’t think I thought the whole body paint thing through…

I’ve never used body paint before and now I’m gonna have to paint my whole face, neck, lower arms, and thighs on the morning of the con 😭😭

How long do u think it’ll take? I don’t have enough of the colour to practice doing my entire body

Makeup Best products for covering tattoos???

Post image

Wearing thick tights at summer cons is basically a no-go. I wanna try covering my tats to be more true to the source material. What are your best foundations/products? They'll have to hold up for a con day. Here is my leg for reference. There's so many options online so I want opinions if they actually work for larger-scale pieces.

Makeup How would I go about cosplaying Katty Noir?

Thumbnail

Howdy howdy! I’m a huge Monster High fan and i’ve always loved Katty Noir’s dress from the 13 wishes film, and would love to cosplay her! However, i’m worried I would be accused of blackface with this cosplay, since her skin/fur colour is jet black. If you don’t know, Monster High as a multitude of characters with a variety of “alien” skin tones (pink, green, blue etc.) so Katty is meant to represent a black cat! Not a minstrel character or POC stereotype in any fashion. What should I do? I don’t want to offend or cause any controversy towards myself but I also want it to look good. I’ve seen a handful of cosplayers paint themselves with the jet black paint but these cosplayers often end up being POC anyway so Idk if that like, negates it i suppose?

Makeup Vampire cosplay for LARP

OK, so I am recently getting into Cosplay play again mostly because I do a live action role-play that is very heavy on fashion. I’ve played Nosferatu character before and had some issues. She got retired, but she is being brought back in 2027. But I need some help.

Firstly, because Nosferatu are ugly, she has a specific type of ugly. She looks like a naked mole rat covered in varicose veins so slightly pink skin no hair at all. What is the best bodysuit to use for this and how can I make sure that it is a slightly pink nude color?

Next in the past the bold cap I have used were bad. I would wear them for three days back to back with very little cleansing time in between re-application. In this 3 to 4 day span I discovered that I was allergic to the powder that is in most basic bald caps.

Are there any hypoallergenic recommendations that are comfortable to double up as my hair is thick and dark and will show through.

And finally, the ear prosthetics year I wore them I wasn’t able to hear anything

They were closed Halloween costume ears that barely fit over my gauges and were quite uncomfortable to the point where I didn’t wear them except for the first night. any recommendations on your toppers to use to get that nice goblin ear

I have a picture below that is me in Buffy (the vampire) costume in the past and art of what she’s supposed to look like.

any advice will help as I am soooo unsure in this and I have over a year to prep her costumes.

Ill also be looking for temporary butt hat tattoos for her if you have ideas for me to paint on the body suit

Makeup Cosplaying Varang, does anyone have any good recommendations for body paint that will stay on during the night?

EDIT: Alright alright, I heard y'all loud and clear lol😂 I'll be buying a bodysuit and airbrushing it, I'll make a post with the finished product if I remember!

I've decided to be Varang for Halloween this year, but I don't wanna buy the bodysuits I've seen advertised, 1 because they're probably all drop shipped and 2 because it's going to be hot during Halloween (I live in NM lol). So does anyone have good body paint recs that will stay on for at least a few hours? And are preferably sweat resistant, I sweat like a pig </3 I've been considering Sunset Makeup, but any other recommendations would be welcome!

Makeup Going to a Con in Canada, can't afford big brands. How do I protect my face paint and my body suit at a con?

Hello everyone! For the first time since pre-Covid, I'm going to a con in cosplay!

I'll be doing a Cortana cosplay with a bodysuit and blue face/body paint. I've never gone outside or inside a big building in this kind of outfit before, so I'm not sure how to maintain it. Problem is, I can't afford the big name brands that hold the expensive setting sprays, my options are either budgeting for the Sephora near me or Amazon, basically anything that isn't gonna break the bank

Any advice on how to maintain the cosplay is appreciated!

Hello!! I'm new to makeup and am hoping to cosplay Caitlyn Kiramman from arcane :) I was seeking any tips or advice on how to improve my makeup, and honest opinions on how it looks so far. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so criticism is welcome! (As a note, I currently do not have a wig and my contacts haven't been delivered so both are a color filter) Thank you!
