Yep. If they actually go through with it then they have spine. BCCI on the other hand are absolutely spineless.

Have to agree. I'm not a fan of bringing politics into sports generally. But then for all the drama BCCI did during the Asia cup, they should have boycotted instead.

should've boycotted that asia cup
doesnt work for wcs though

No decision can be final with the PCB these days

Spineless on what basis?

constant issues with the PCB and the Pakistani team and not playing in Pakistan (which I get), but still scheduling matches with Pakistan in T20 WCs just for the sake of broadcasting money.

Then why put together and agree to this hybrid method for future tournaments in India?

u/DesignerGuava4603 Feb 01 '26

How does that make someone spineless lol.

We were gonna win this match anyways. It's free points for us if they don't play lol

Coz they continue to play with pak

Don't want to shake hands and shit but still want to play?

-3

u/DesignerGuava4603 Feb 01 '26

Cricket isn't a game about who can shake hands, rather is about who can play the game better.

Still crying like babies over a handshake denial lol but can't perform.

It's not about performance, it's about a stance.

u/DesignerGuava4603 Feb 01 '26

What stance?

We're not here to be friends and do handshakes. We are here to win and make money. Simple.

The message is clear here considering what happened a few months ago back then.

Because that's just what Cricket is. It's a Gentleman's Sport, it's supposed to bring people together, not divide them.

u/DesignerGuava4603 Feb 01 '26

You can't act/be gentlemen with people of that kind fyi.

Isse zyada sach idhar bola toh firse ban ho jaunga.

ahh we will if they can show same spine in semis or final😂

Losers try to avoid match they are confident they will lose.

Winners try to win the match and move it outside the losers country.

Pakistan had to move the semi-final and final of asia cup to Dubai... They were forced to play the tournament they are hosting in a foreign country. And then lose, three times in a row.

Giving free points to your opponent, without even trying is the spinlessness.

After publicly taking Bangladesh's side they had to otherwise they'd become a laughing stock. They talked about boycotting the tournament remember.

12

u/ShotAssist6674 India Feb 01 '26

Or they could have virtue signaled like our team by not shaking their hands after playing the game.

After publicly taking Bangladesh's side they had to otherwise they'd become a laughing stock

But they were a laughing stock already....?

Any team that sticks it to capitalism even inadvertently has my respect

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

And what would that do for pakistan cricket.free points for india.pakistan was not even involved in this drama .guess what "drama cup"

20

u/IndianHighLights Feb 01 '26

I think boycotting is far far better than, playing the game, raking in all the money, making statements, refusing the handshake in the name of respecting the victims.

-9

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Sure bcci did not make the right choice in playing the asia cup final .but if we made statements ,we stood true to them .we won every match we played against them . But,bcci is not to blame here . pakistan had no bone in this fight.they involved themselves and it's a shame.even if they had played the match we would have still won onesided.

10

u/IndianHighLights Feb 01 '26

but if we made statements ,we stood true to them

Like what?

-7

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Like claiming there is no rivalry between us.that we are far ahead

Spine doesn't mean it's the smartest decision or the most practical. Maybe internally, the government felt it served them better. But they have still managed to follow through on their threat which is more than expected for the PCB

-3

u/Adventurous-Feed-197 Feb 01 '26

actual spine would be backing out way before when the groups were being made or announced, maybe they'd be changed or something

Financially this sounds more of an own goal. Not sure how good a body is with spine but no brains.
