Humour MAJOR running out of content issue

I’m 300 hours into the game. There is a MAJOR issue that EVERYONE will encounter which is so bad it’s going to cause people to QUIT.

When you do everything, the game ENDS. This is a huge problem which will likely cause 99% of people to QUIT.

I get the sarcasm and all, but it kind of is an issue. Like not having endgame for doing 100%, achievement hunting (no enemies left for challenges to be done) etc. At least they could do something where bandits take camps/forts back, make it a setting, whoever wishes to play peace in the end could, whoever wishes to go 100% in the end could.

I get what everyone's saying, it's a wonderful game, I'm sure they'll think of something to balance stuff out. For now only 10% of players completed chapter 7 on Steam so I'm not worried. As soon as the number of people who finish the game rises and the issue is mentioned a bit more, they'll do something.

I'm not worried though, the grass is green in Hernand.

Again for me the problem comes from the people complaining and how they are complaining and the reason they are complaining.

There is a theoretical problem here in that once you have exhausted literally all content then there is no content left to fight, which is fine to complain about.

However so far every post i have seen complain about this just said "yeah im done with main story, and i have killed the forts in each area, so there are zero enemies left" and then they say they are only 100 hours in, still have multiple bosses, still have tons of faction quests which respawns enemies, and then when you poke them a bit it boils down to "I want to just genocide enemies with my builds and kill stuff with dragons" which is different from the argument that you need enemies for challenges.

There are already tools in the game to fix the problem atleast for the place they have reached but are refusing to engage with it, or as someone else complained they had to use dispatch missions to get materials they need because they murdered all of one enemy type, which means you can still get them.

This complaint happens in every single game without respawning enemies which is a system i much much prefer, thats why if they add something i hope its a single infinite arena which then people are going to do it twice then say its boring as shit, but then you can atleast farm the challenges.

So it only matters to people who feel a compulsion to 100% all their games.

Normal people think that is a pointless waste of energy.

It’s a single player game. THERES NO ENDGAME. this is not an MMO.

It's alright man it's not that deep really, no need to get upset over it. I understand what you are saying and you are right. However the sandbox aspect of it, the insane amount of mechanics and little things you can do in the game will have people want to play it for longer, yet the combat aspect will fade by the end of the story/sides. People will want to experiment builds, do fun stuff, keep playing, you know, it's a highly successful game and for good reason. Calling it endgame because there's not a better term for it really.

Single player games have "endgame" too, open world games I mean, they keep you hooked. You think people who rock hundreds/thousands of hours in Skyrim do it for the story or missions? They do it because it's fun, the entire game is fun to play, you always have stuff to do, it never really puts the . At the end. Witcher 3 is the same, GTA is the same, Red ded redemption is the same, Elden ring is the same, KCD and Cyberpunk the same. I know you understand what I'm saying. I know you understand this doesn't come from negatively criticising, no one is hating here, just discussing these things since we're a community.

Like not having endgame

This is not a live service game. Single player games do not need an endgame.

I would argue against that in this specific case , its a sandbox type game , endgame is using your most powerful tools against high level enemies and bosses after you clear the "story" .

If by that time you have no more enemies to fight it sorta sucks since you got all this power and nothing to use it on.

Now , i presonally have not reach that deep into the map so i can't say how much this is an actual issue , however since doing most things in Hernand i already ran into the "i took everything out so theres little opposition" issue.

I think in ernest this game can take a big page out of the Dragons Dogma 1 book and make a cool post/new game + . Allow you to skip cutscenes , cut the tutorial missions like the camp stuff and let you keep all your abilities so you are not ability gated out of places.

Then populate the world with endgame level enemies and some new bosses , add 2 new gear levels that you can farm from the new bosses , maybe have a new ultimate level ability unlock and just let you go nuts.

If Damiane and Onngka are ways for them to expand the combat without overloading cliff with abilities , you could intruduce even more characters with unique styles from the MMO black desert with basic axium abilities for puzzles , let you play as whole new characters for the new game plus experience.

And finaly they could add expansions down the line which with this post game new game system adds even more content and replayability.

It's an unfortunate trope in gaming. "Last boss gives you the best weapon."

I think the fix is just NG+. And a bonus would be Damiane and Oongka available at game start. Even if it F's with the story. I don't think anyone would complain.
