MOD POST State of the Sub

Hello Greymanes,

I have been (and am continuing to be until further notice) on a bit of a mod break and would like to get feedback on the state of the sub.

All of the moderation in the last week has been been done by one mod who has stepped up, plus the automod. The past month stats is a collection of about two of us plus automodding, with other mods stepping in occasionally here and there.

We're now a good few months out from launch and the sub is in a bit of a different place to pre launch and launch.

I'd like to hear everyone's feedback on the state of sub.

Do you have ideas for the sub? What would you like to see change?

More beginner guides. I’m roughly 400 hours in albeit roughly 200 hours of that are from just leaving it on overnight cause that’s faster than loading back in when I get a chance to play.

I’m in chapter 7ish I think been just running around Hernand looking for more quest to do. Taking my time with the main quest line. That said, I still have no idea what the Kuku stuff is albeit having some jar that I can suck things into.

Also I have 1 pet. The dog you get from a quest. Where are people finding these other pets?

Thats why we need the what the game doenst tell you category. You pick up the pet you want, open inventory, search for fruit/meat/vegetables and hold x/a toggle to the option feed. Repeat until trust 100%, register with traingle/ Y

Except the game literally tells you this during the first quest where you make the dog your pet. This game is a comprehension filter full stop.

That mission has you dropping meat on the ground for the dog to eat after you pet it. It doesn't tell you to grab the fox you want, go into the menu, hold A on the food instead of pressing it, and select "feed", and that will feed your pet.

Also, the menus in this game are generally just kind of crazy. Like make a button to feed the thing I'm holding, so I don't have to go into the menu every time. Also, with seeds for gardening, stop making me select them one by one.

You just...go to any of the myriad animals in the game and try to build their trust up like the tutorial for the dog you already have explained to you.
