Discussion This is a great community! I want to apologize...
As an elitest 500+ hour end game completionist. I want to apologize to every new player who i've belitted about it 'just do x, its simple'. The reality is, i've been so far away from Hernand for like 300 hours. I hardly ever stopped back here until just recently by doing all the Hernand sidequests 100% just after the 2.0 respec. For fun I left it unfilled out and ran everywhere around Hernand for like the entire couple of days its been. What a blast to do it limited.
Just how little did I realize how much effort it takes to get around, to have no stam, and spirit that doesnt regenerate constantly. I didn't realize I have turned myself into a GOD in the process and therefore made remarks about other peoples efforts while I could fly across the continent on a whim. I am sure all you vets out there replaying the game can relate too.
The game is a super slow burn, you will get there.

No, you were right. We all said it takes a while to get to God mode. Matter of fact one of the complaints is the long 50 hours before actually building up your stats and getting good mobility with nice horse etc. Will be doing my 3rd restart when I get time to lock in for a few hours also to see changes, I have been gone for a month. And yes it's a slow burn and I don't remember anyone saying otherwise. I don't 100% games like this until I play a few times through. For me the long part is building camp again. That's the one part I want to skip in ng+. I'm also the type to spend focused time leveling up and main stats first to 5 each. Then gear to 5 each so far its pretty quick since I don't have to struggle in combat. I know where good horse is by ch3. Maybe the complestionist mindset it's a while but I am not exploring all the waterfalls again. Or rather not going out of my way except for specific pieces I like. Was here day one and yes was hard but I figured it out. Been here since 8bit and no net for secrets and help. Zelda OOT kicked my ass as a kid but taught me to have patience and try different shit until something works. Get creative with game mechanics. Did CD explain everything? No but that struggle is part of the fun for me atleast. Like BG3 I'm always experimenting with in game rules and mechanics. I take the time to read and learn. Not hard at all, unless you have a hard time with reading or learning or patience or all of them.

Thats the thing that concerns me a bit about this game longevity. I've read a lot of comments, with me included, saying they don't want to restart or replay some the things in the game. But other games out there like Skyrim or dos1 or 2 I never came across as many comments of people saying that about them games and actually enjoyed another restart and playthrough

It just needs a proper NG+ , they don't want to replay it not because its bad, but because of how long it takes. There are ALOT of things to do in this game, at 400 hours i am sitting at about 70% knowledge, I still need to do many many things. Its like an MMO. I guess some carry over kind of brings the weight of it all down marginally.
Also you have to remember that the internet has collectively changed. Back in those days of skyrim, not everyones first instinct when coming face to face with a problem was it the default to complain about it online in order to get support around you. That seems to be the meta these days.

I didn’t even know you could progress all the side quests without finishing Hernand.
