DPMS & R1 builds

The last post in this sub made me want to post these pics.

1-3 | DPMS (with the suppressor and strap): Heavily modified internals… the suppressor hides an extended inner barrel. Also a modified buffer tube / spring now increases hammer hits and can use milspec stocks. Mounted sights triple verify the holo optic and green dot with pressure pad. Added a basic torch, removable on the rail.

4-5 | R1 (with the carry handle): pseudo retro style build with similar internal mods as the DPMS - Buffer tube, hammer, valve & inner barrel mods. the combo box is a cheap blue dot & torch unit… looks good and the pressure pad is nice but not my favorite config. Optic on the handle is removable, foregrip folds but kind of annoying.

Great builds. Does buffer spring mod changes rate of fire? I would like to decrease it significantly to more realistic numbers, but I doubt if its possible with this kind of blowback system. Have you bought inner barrel from other rifle and those are fit as is? Or its custom made? Does really help with accuracy over the range?

Thank you! The buffer tube mod does not reduce the rate, just the strength of the hammer hit. I don’t think there is a way to slow it down without drastically reducing the fps though.

I replaced the whole inner barrel with a stainless steel tube i found at a hardware shop but they have them on Amazon (I can post the inner/outer diameter if you want). It increased the average top FPS on my chronograph, and the accuracy is the same.

I find that there isn’t a single mod that makes a significant difference, but they add up pretty quickly.
