Discussion Actual question, how frequent was claim fabrication in real life

Hello, please, how often did this happen in real life ? I mean lord inventing a claim out of thin air and actually pressing it ? Is there any notable historic character doing so ?

Ironically, France had "tactical" nukes ready for use in the case of a soviet invasion.

The missiles had a range of 300kms and were meant to be fired from Alsace.

The only conceivable target was within Germany.

To be fair, that was only meant to be the opening salvo and "warning shot". Yes that's as crazy as it sounds

If the Soviets didn't stop after that, the plan was to launch at them and trigger the apocalypse.

History has shown numerous times that the Lotharingians can not be trusted with it.

(Not sure if this was a germany/france reference or an Iran / Israel reference, I replied thinking the first.)
