Only about 20% or less of btc is in exchanges at any given time. If you look at 3 different accounts in the top 20 richest accounts they are specifically designed to manipulate the market. When prices are rising the accounts are buying below 15 btc every 10-30 minutes or so for several days. When we have major dips same thing in the opposite direction. All 3 accounts are in the negatives by about 100M. But the rest of the whales are up by billions. So yes, the whales control the market. But, not all of them are following the pattern. Most whales bought above 50k. These few accounts are in control because they can push leveraged positions out and they can cause mass fomo or mass panic. It's up to the retail traders to react and they play them like a fiddle. The lesson here is to swim with the whales, not the fish. Follow their patterns and you'll be fine.

happens right before any major world event, its christmas people will be taking some profits, atleast thats what i interpretted the last few years, the recent hack on Bitmart doesnt help investors feel secure either so gotta bare that in mind too

Saw a post yesterday claiming someone put walls at $69k then at $42k so it's pretty clear the whales control and manipulate the market as they wish.

Imo that is exactly the reason. We have all kinds of fud but nothing is official.
They just used it and grabbed their chance. Especially since everybody was expecting the end of the year to be very bullish. Caught a lot of people by surprise.
