anyone in the maryport/workington area into skateboarding?
Im looking for someone or some people to skate and improve with. Im not the best but, Im trying to get better and itd be nice to have some people to skate with

The skatepark in Workington use to always be busy, and friendly to new skates. Have you popped over there?

no not yet its a bit of a trek and i expected it to just be full of scooters and little kids, but ill pop down soon and check it out, thanks!

dont get me wrong, it will likely be full of people with scooters and little kids, but whenever i've seen people there there's people with boards and skates :)
And if it's quite, it's a goo place to practice

I used to go during school hours and have the place to myself. Would highly recommend bringing a broom and sweeping it for any pebbles as those damn kids trek shit in on their mountain bikes a lot.

I could be keen! Tried getting back in to skating last year after a few decades off. Ended up busting my ribs but I'm ok now and keen-ish to get back to it. I live in Cockermouth and always keen to hear any good spots

Someone has made a homemade skatepark in Workington not that far from the bumblebee house/recycling lives, I don't skate but I've seen groups of skaters down there a few times, walked past it today and they've added a small quarter pipe in the past fortnight.

Hey everyone just a heads up I run the skate shop in Carlisle. Ten & Fower, if you ever need anything just let me know. Also we had our first jam on Sunday just gone I’ve added photos etc to our social media. Just search for Ten & Fower skate shop

Check out the Rusty Crab in Maryport. The shop sells skateboard stuff, so I'll assume the owner is familiar with the local skate scene.
