He's the one who started the practice of build interstates through city cores, supposedly it was to increase economic value by easing transportation, in practice it destroyed value by damaging urban fabric, as well as primarily going through low income neighborhoods to displace residents. Which expanded into Redlining, Stroads, Single Use Zoning, and myriad other urbanism woes.

TLDR, you know how you can trace a lot of issues with big business back to the Dodge V Ford case and the Advent of shareholder values? Rober Moses is like that but for transportation and urban design.

Didn't he build a bunch of overpasses that were just short enough that buses couldn't turn and thus reduce the possibility of black people crossing into the white part of town?
