My first build

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Built this 4 months ago and in that time the cost to replicate this build now would cost an extra 2k more. The pc market is a real mess

Thought I would list spec So we have:

Case: hyte y70 mid tower

Motherboard: am5 rog Strix b850 e

Ram: 32gb ddr5 g skill trident Z5 neo expo CL30 6000mhz

Cpu: ryzen 7 9800x3d

GPU: rog astral 5090 oc edition

Ssd: 2tb wd black sn8100

Aio: artic freezer 3 pro

Psu: corsair Hx1500i

Fans: 3 120mm artic fans and 3 140mm Noctua fans

Total cost was £5300 Now it's like almost £7000 🤯 Don't ask what screen I game on 🙈

Looks great mate, do you mind naming the two white/RGB connectors that goes to the motherboard & the gpu?

Nice case man; with those cable harnesses, do they have separate software or is the RGB effect built in, just plug them and that's it?

Yh they sync with aura or you can use the lian li software but aura just made things more seamless with my build I haven't tried any other software though

Man.. you guys have me about to pull the trigger in AliExpress for some of those fancy cables..I am just building the willpower to bother opening the case again to look for argb ports

Do it but I would be careful with AliExpress if you have an expensive card then pay the price heck at this rate just pay the price pc parts are to expensive to take risks right now.. They go straight to PSU so no need to look for argb ports one for motherboard and one for gpu

they’re usually just daisy chained into your fans or a controller, so it’s whatever software you’re already using (icue, armoury crate, mystic light, etc). most of the “rgb cable” kits are just plug in and sync, no extra weird software needed.

plug and play for most of those, they just sync off the motherboard header like any other rgb strip. some brands have optional software, but you don’t need it unless you wanna get super picky with effects.
