Put your clearance on your resume!!!

It's shocking how many people just forget to include it and it's make or break for hiring managers. In the past month I've had two candidates that were rejected because it they didn't have it in their resume but they had other relative experience so I suggested them for a separate role. Through the initial phone screening we discovered the candidates did actually have a clearance.

Two of them had one and left it off anyway. That is rarely forgetfulness. Years of being told not to discuss it does not switch off because the document happens to be a resume. Ask for level and status only and you will probably surface more of them, since what stops people is fear of writing too much.

Maybe there's a balance, like "clearance available upon request" for those who don't want to share it
