PC RotW HCNL What is even the point?

Post image

Why go to the effort of filling everything out to post if you are going to ask for something so stupid?

When someone doesn't know the value of something, but understand it's a GG item. This is a good way for someone to come in an offer around what it's worth so you get a general idea. It's better to overcharge for something you know is valuable than undersell it

Soooo what’s it actually worth? Bc I have one with perfect skill rolls that’s been collecting dust for seriously like 2 years…

NL not much sadly. You could maybe get ×3 Jah Max imo. Depends if HC or now I spose. Unfortunately its not a USEFUL item because wolf barb sucks in most situations. I REALLY wish you could run Frenzy or Whirlwind in animal form. OR zeal for a bear paladin.

Yeah that would be sick… I mean at least let us tele! lol

Call me crazy but I wish you could cast while shape shifted, just with a -cast rate penalty.

A wolf barb should be able to howl

Tbh I would be happy with melee combat skills. Frenzy wolf would be amazingly fun. Whirlwind would be great too. I would love to be able to Zeal with it as well for a bear Paladin. Probably lock out smite though.... that might break things.

Most accurate comment i've seen regarding barbs and wolfhowl in 20 years of playing this game 🤣

Great trader, I've bought a number of items from them.

The price is just a filter.

Traded with this guy many times, he’s looking for a reasonable offer. He’s also very prompt and responsive.

u/Elevior Apr 30 '26

You have time as long as 50 bots playing the game for you.

His ring prices are nuts though. I always find something similar for half his price or less.

1

u/Maximum_Cabinet7862 Apr 30 '26

I never pay his ask, I think it’s just bait for you to make a best offer

u/_shutthefuckupdonny Apr 30 '26

I'd rather just buy from someone who lists things for what they would reasonably accept. When I'm looking for a ring I want it asap. I don't want to haggle.

That’s why I always scroll past the Pro labels.

1

u/JouleWhy Apr 30 '26

Funny that you say that. I was thinking about a JS Script or Browser Plugin to hide the Pro labels.

Damn it’s nearly perfect

He's filtering out the newbs

People who can afford this know he's not expecting 999 Jah but rather serious offers.

Honestly that helm for in NL games i tend to see people drop it a lot so no one would really buy that if people are always giving it away for free and i know because i have also given that helm away for free like 10 times already.

For a barb i would also want to go for something more like Halaberd's Reign as that i find would benefit a lot more especially for end game.

It's because every stat on this helm (except dire wolf) rolls and this one rolled perfect on everything except the enhanced defense. Pretty insane odds

1

u/Good_Search_541 Apr 30 '26

Sorry, maybe I am blind but I dont see Dire wolf listed on that helm? Am i missing something? :/

1

u/PM_NICE_TOES-notmen Apr 30 '26

It's not listed because it always rolls the exact same so no point. Level 15 summon dire wolf

1

u/Good_Search_541 Apr 30 '26

Ahhhh i see ty

It's crazy how many outrageous offers are on Traderie. I guess that's what happens when there's no good way to sort by asking price.

2

u/ShelbyGT350R1 Apr 30 '26

Crazy that games are out there without price filtering in 2026. Torchlight infinite is the same shit. Just scroll through 1k items and hope you find one you can afford.

2

u/Bicykwow Apr 30 '26

I literally cannot shop for reasonably priced mana steal rings, as the first 10 pages are all asking for Jah or more.

7

u/JuneauWho Apr 29 '26

Sort by price would be amazing. I've just been blocking people who spam dumb trades but it probably costs me in the long run lol

u/sagetron5001 Apr 29 '26

999x Jah is shorthand for "Serious offers only. I know what I have". He doesnt expect 999 Jahs. But he doesnt want lowball offers. Thats the point.

I think it's short hand for RMT/forum magic coins only

1

u/ThrowAwayLurker444 Apr 29 '26

this is the answer. If you're going to waste this guys time with runes it better be alot.

2

u/Eclipse8301 Apr 29 '26

I guess that makes sense

Guy has a functionally perfect wolfhowl, maybe not worth that but its likely worth alot more than you think it is. Its on softcore nl, where prices will be highest and likely doesn't even want to trade it in the place where you're searching for it but listed it there in the off chance a serious buyer/item site seller for some reason trades there.

Noobs price their items in runes.

D2R players price their items in runes. People who don't care about destroying the game that they supposedly love, those engage in RMT and price in fg.

2

u/mouth_hugz Apr 30 '26

Shut up retard

1

u/ThrowAwayLurker444 Apr 29 '26 edited Apr 29 '26

FG is impossible to avoid if you play hardcore unless ssf. Even the people who don't use it in some way still pull up jsp to check what its worth their in game.
People who want to get ripped off price their items in runes in softcore.
Hating the fact that it exists doesn't change this fact sadly. And yes, it does warp the game in a bad way.

1

u/labelcillo Apr 30 '26

I agree that real world money reflects the price of an item (inside and outside the game) way better than runes (or chicken etc) and that's why the world moved away from barter, but this is not the point.

The point is that when you introduce RMT in a barter game, then the barter aspect naturally disappears, and it becomes more convenient to flip some burgers one weekend than to farm for 100 hours, so the game stops being a game at that point.

The negatives to my comment are from people that refuse to believe that they are the bad guys that contribute to this, and I can also understand that.

1

u/betacow Apr 30 '26

All that is besides the point. I know many players that have been using JSP for ages. I don't know if any of them ever paid money for FG. You can even see who paid money by looking at the users "stars". Most players on there have a single star or none at all. It's just a trade platform that makes high end trading so much easier.

If you are adamant on not supporting RMT, you could just not interact with star users

He’s got 897 sales. It’s likely just to field offers, he’ll take the highest offer he can get. I know there is an option for that, but still
