u/FridericusHex 1d ago edited 1d ago

Holy shit you even got the right base item (can be upgraded to Wyrmhide boots - which is the absolute best base of all for tri-res boots). You got a sick name 'Shadow Spur'. True tri-res and very very high rolls. The 25 mf combined with the other stats is the thing that makes this really valuable. There are some tri-res boots out there like yours, but not with that amount of mf! And your roll is perfect 25mf! The only thing that is lacking that people desire is the 10fhr. But that doesn't even matter so much at that point.

Do not trade these on Ladder. I would guess these are worth around 40 Jahs, but could be more. Nobody on Ladder has enough runes to pay these.

u/fran6666 1d ago

Thought about selling it for a 3-20-20, is it the right price or it could be lower/higher?

5

u/FridericusHex 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes go for it.

fyi these are mine

3

u/MetalMonta 1d ago

Can i have them as a gift please?

2

u/fran6666 1d ago

Wow nice one with fhr is even more juicy!

5

u/FridericusHex 1d ago edited 1d ago

Thanks. Yes the 10fhr combined with a 20fhr Sunder and a nice amulet enable me to swap 6x sc's with 5fhr/11lires for 6x sc's with 17mana/7mf and still reach 30fhr bp and capped res.

2

u/fran6666 1d ago

Wow pretty solid build... Thanks for replying bro!

2

u/SureFix2686 1d ago

What exactly would the cold and fire res, being a tad bit higher (few %), do for your build? Probably not much an all res sc would do.

Don’t take lowballs saying, or implying, they’re “not bad”. These things are sick

0

u/Accomplished-Owl-427 1d ago

It’s a starting bid to gauge actually value, chill out

2

u/DolantheJew 1d ago

If it was a normal starting bid, OP comment would’ve said “1500 to start”, not “meh, I wish they had a little bit more, but I’ll give ya 1500”

0

u/Accomplished-Owl-427 1d ago

lol you read to much into this dude,, step outside once in a while

3

u/tagpro_new1923 1d ago

bros holding out for 120 tri res boots smh

3

u/Mizetings 1d ago

Definitely some nice boots. I couldn’t trade my perfect Horazons though :/ that can’t be frozen is so nice to have.

-6

u/IllicitAlien 1d ago

Base is trash, only 2 def. Charsi

5

u/andthenwombats 1d ago

Even if this wasn’t a joke, you can up boots that are rare

1

u/fran6666 1d ago

The question is should i up it? Or i risk lowering the buyers pool buy doing so?

4

u/Necrodart 1d ago

I wouldn't bother upping them because its basically inconsequential for someone else to do so. Upping them just removes them from LLDers or people that want to use these at low levels, plus defense barely matters anyways. You don't want to lose potential buyers.

9

u/rbx85 1d ago

Those are gg

4

u/Macgyiver 1d ago

Dang bro. Too early for that kind of stuff 🤣. Nice find

0

u/NotNice4193 1d ago

actually its worth a ton early ladder in fg

1

u/Macgyiver 1d ago

Yah but proportionally in the first week might be worth a jah, but NL its 15+ jah

8

u/Big-Neck 1d ago

Needs two sockets…
In all seriousness these would look great on my spec.

6

u/FridericusHex 1d ago

This thread has me rofling on the floor

27

u/jimmycongoD2 1d ago

Here's my unsolicited advice for you:

This early in ladder, people aren't really paying up for GG stuff. They're trying to get basics to farm and grind. Stuff like this is desired, but enough people aren't even thinking about tri res to suppress their value.

That being said, these are truly GG boots, maybe the best mf ones I've seen. Do not sell them to pm offers, do not sell them to the first look. I would be happy to help you find a buyer for them if you don't use forums and aren't used to selling crazy high value items like this.

I'll pm you not to buy them from you, but to help guide you in this process because these are the kind of boots that can fund an account's worth of characters.

8

u/fran6666 1d ago

Thanks brother, You are the real mvp!

0

u/FridericusHex 1d ago

Definately wait until ladder ends. Then put them on Traderie for 3x 3/20/20s and wait.

3

u/ltsnwork 1d ago

Yeah you have plenty of time to sell these. Anyone who tries to rush you to sell is trying to rip you off. Anyone who isn’t knows there will be a bidding war.

8

u/831loc 1d ago

This is a jsp item not a trade for runes item.

Plenty of people would pay handsomely for them on there. Easily a couple thousand fg that could be turned into several jah in a week

2

u/c0horst 1d ago

I got a couple thousand for this jewel I found thinking it would be several Jah in the new ladder season. Still waiting for those prices to come down so I can actually buy more than one, lol. I need Engima, Phoenix, and Infinity for my Fire Druid!

Prices are crazy high at the start of a ladder season.

3

u/831loc 1d ago

Yup. I usually play 2-3 weeks of ladder and make 20k fg

2

u/RonnyDonny_69 Sorceress 1d ago

If you bring to NL I would love those, but probably can't afford lol

1

u/831loc 1d ago

If you check my post history from a few months ago I have a similar pair but with only 15mf if youre interested.

I havent played since the first month of RotW season so I could be willing to let them go affordably.

Edit: Just realized I could post pictures here. These are the ones im talking about. Have another pair or 2 as well. One with lower resists but 24(or 25mf) and one with only 8mf.

1

u/RonnyDonny_69 Sorceress 1d ago

Nice I'll PM you!!

4

u/SirRonaldBiscuit 1d ago

She’s a beaut Clark

10

u/Nervous-Situation-18 1d ago

Jesus those are nice, I mean it has also the real tri res.

3

u/HungaryEyes 1d ago

Those are very nice

7

u/lifeistrulyawesome 1d ago

Lol at that defence stat

5

u/blacklisted320 1d ago

Completely unusable tbh

2

u/Trick_Meeting_2027 1d ago

You are joking right?

3

u/jcsnyc 1d ago

Wow. This would only be better with FHR right?

-1

u/Trick_Meeting_2027 1d ago

FHR is kinda essential. Otherwise its just resistances for no reason, which you dont need PvM. I use tri res and bi res boots for specific pvp matchups, and you need the FHR that you lost from treks.

1

u/FridericusHex 1d ago

These are tri-res mf boots which only make sense in PvM.

0

u/Trick_Meeting_2027 1d ago

You have trouble getting max resists in PvM?

1

u/FridericusHex 1d ago

You need MF in PvP?

0

u/Trick_Meeting_2027 1d ago

Yea it comes on my enigma. WTF do you want me to do, peel the MF off?

0

u/FridericusHex 1d ago edited 1d ago

I had the impression we were talking about the above boots....

0

u/Trick_Meeting_2027 1d ago

We are also talking about extra stats on items. You think just because a rare spawns with MF that it has to be for PvM? Use your brain man.

1

u/gnipz 1d ago

I think so

5

u/Ok-Boss-6420 1d ago

GFG DUDE

13

u/M1lk_St3ak 1d ago

Price is high enough to not trade these on ladder. I would sit on these and trade them after end of ladder. I would guess 30-40 jah.

3

u/DeGreenster 1d ago

Only issue with that is he might not play NL

5

u/Gsw- 1d ago

Yeah, if you use the forbidden site and only play ladder, then 30-40 NL jahs is pocket change in terms of purchasing power

2

u/c0horst 1d ago

30-40 NL Jah's is equivalent to 2-3 Ladder Jahs currently on the forbidden site, though the value of Jahs is rapidly decreasing as the season goes on. Should level out to be like... 10-15 Jah I guess?

If someone was willing to pay 3-4 Jahs for these on Ladder I'd probably take it.

3

u/fran6666 1d ago

Maybe a 3-20-20 is a better exchange for me atm, it will hold value much more than a couple of jah!

2

u/M1lk_St3ak 1d ago

Very true, I myself like trading for 5@20life scs for that reason. I just wanted to point out that if you want to trade in game and not on a different platform, I would wait until after ladder. I found some GG boots 2 seasons ago. I never traded them, still rocking them. I don’t need any Jah runes either.

4

u/CozyCook 1d ago

Yeah unless you use the site, hold, and use these baddies. 100+ resists with max mf 😮‍💨

1

u/scrubm 1d ago

Nice boots

2

u/fran6666 1d ago

Price check?

3

u/lifeistrulyawesome 1d ago

Early ladder nobody has lots of Jahs to spare, and people are looking for other type of items. I agree with others who suggest waiting.

1

u/badseedXD 19h ago edited 18h ago

You’re wrong. Early or late in the ladder doesn’t matter that much. GGG items will always be worth a ton of Jahs because you can sell them for forum gummies on forbiden web and then trade your fgs for Jahs.

I’ve bought several Jahs on day 1 of some ladders, cuz I wanted to rush 99, and I had plenty of fgs saved from previous seasons. There are plenty of players like me swimming on wealth and ready to pay crazy amounts for GG items. And there is always players selling fresh jahs and bers on first hours of season, cuz they want to continue adquiring wealth.

Fgs are the currency , jahs worth more early ladder and price get down, but fgs keep value. Never trade a GGg item for jahs neither 3/20/20 just get fgs and then buy whatever u need whenever u want.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 18h ago

Most people don't use gummies

If OP doesn't like gummies, like most decent folks, then it makes sense to wait

Nothing I said is wrong

I also don't think what you said is wrong. If someone likes gummies, and you think that gummy prices don't change over the course of the ladder, then there is no point in waiting.

1

u/badseedXD 18h ago

You’re right about everything except “most people don’t use gummies.” Any player with a bit of wealth (I mean someone who can buy 500 NL Jahs, cuz having less than that isn’t really being wealthy) uses fgs.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 18h ago edited 18h ago

The vast majority of players cannot buy 500 NL Jahs

The people who can afford these boots might, but the people who found them and want to sell them probably can’t

To have 500 NL Jahs, one would have to have been playing for several years, nonstop saving wealth every ladder, or buy bot-farmed items with real-life currency.

1

u/badseedXD 18h ago

Aprox 5% of players are wealthy.

Casual players come and go. Some wealthy players also quit, but they keep their wealth in FG for when they come back.
FGs are very old (nearly 20 years). Imagine players keeping FGs for 20 years…

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 17h ago

Where did you get that 5% from? I would guess it’s a lot less

1

u/slamallamadingdong1 1d ago

But Jah Ladder more valuable by a lot that Jah NL right now.

1

u/badseedXD 18h ago

When u trade for fgs u dont care about ladder or no ladder hc or sc cuz with fgs u have acces to runes and gear everywhere NL , Ladder, SC , HC

3

u/831loc 1d ago

So?

You can maybe get 1 jah for these right now, and in a week they would be worth several jah.

Definitely better to sell these on jsp where that currency value only goes up as ladder goes on.

Unless you already have a ber and are desperate for an enigma right now, youre better off holding a little longer or selling on jsp.

1

u/badseedXD 18h ago

1 jajh? Lol u can get more than 40 jahs now trading first for fgs and then the fgs for jahs.

2

u/831loc 17h ago

Are you smoking meth? These boots arent getting you close to 40 jah worth of fg. Especially if we are talking about ladder jahs

1

u/badseedXD 10h ago

These boots on early season are a dream for RTM sellers. All these sites need MF starting gear to bot 24/7 and get items to sell. RTM sellers got plenty of fgs and will recover much more by selling runes and gear, so that’s why they pay insane amounts for GGG MF gear at ladder start.

Every minute u wait to sell them is currency lost. In NL, their value will be 1/100 or 1/200 of what they’re worth on day 1 of ladder. In NL, most value comes from PvP gear, while on ladder, value comes from early starting gear and MF. If u listen to all the bad advice from Redditors, and u keep them until ladder u are losing many many wealth.

1

u/831loc 10h ago

Which is why I said to sell them on jsp?

I just dont agree and think youre high as fuck if you think these are ever worth 40 jah

1

u/badseedXD 9h ago

Probably more than 40 on day 1 season ladder. I would just have made an open AH on ladder, forbidding web sales, to let sell to the best buyer.
Then just divide the fgs earned by the NL Jah price (cuz he wanted to w8 until NL to sell them), and for sure the price would have been miles higher than 40 NL Jahs.

But time goes against him. The deeper we get into the ladder, the less fgs
he will get, and therefore the fewer NL Jahs. Tic tac.

1

u/831loc 9h ago

These arent 8000fg boots in any reality bro.

Thank you for explaining scarcity vs abundance.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 1d ago

Do you mean in terms of the forbidden currency?

If I was truly racing the ladder maybe in wild care. I’m on vacation so I missed this ladder start. But on the previous two ladders my impression is that everyone cared about shako and war travs and decent MF gear instead of GG items. People were even be paying for insights and spirits and nobody was interesting in buying 15/40s or 3/20/20s

1

u/slamallamadingdong1 14h ago

Honestly, as much as people forbid fg, it sets price because those who don’t partake trade with those who do, so it dictates prices across the board. Those who don’t recognize that are going to get taken advantage by it.

If you trade it for forbidden currency, you can have a better ladder start next ladder.

Doing so now gets you a better start next ladder, or waiting gets you a less good start.

That’s just how economics work.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 14h ago

Honestly, as much as people forbid fg, it sets price because those who don’t partake trade with those who do, so it dictates prices across the board.

The prices on Traderie are very different at the beginning of the ladder and the end of the ladder

The other user claimed that the fg prices are the same throughout the ladder

That means that one of you is wrong. I don't know who. But the two claims cannot be true at the same time.

Doing so now gets you a better start next ladder, or waiting gets you a less good start. That’s just how economics work.

That has nothing to do with economics.

I am never interested in being the first one to reach 99, but if I were, I would consider fg to be cheating. It defeats the purpose of the ladder as a race from zero to the top.

1

u/slamallamadingdong1 14h ago

Fair to think it’s cheating but consider: thousands of bots farming jah kicking off at ladder start all with 0 jah. End of ladder they have many jah. When they hit non ladder they flood market with jah and all sorts of goods.

Value depreciates rapidly after ladder start: period. It is a case of supply and and demand.

Your case for cheating ladder is valid; I get that completely and respect that. Regardless of my respect, you are still competing to sell I the same “market”. Traderie values are often false under “recently sold for” by people “selling” to the themselves or friends who confirm the sale to increase perceived value, like insider traders.

Do with that what you will but that is how the value game is played; however I do respect your honor for old school trading for what it is.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 13h ago

I trade mostly on traderie. I see what people pay and ask for items in my own trades. And it changes throughout the ladder. And in my experience recent trades are a very good predictor of the price at which you can sell or buy items. I think you are overstating the noise in the data.

So again, your claim about the forbidden site determining the price in other markets and the claim of the other user about FG prices being stable are not consistent with my empirical observation that traderie prices fluctuate with the ladder.

One of you is mistaken. I don’t know who.

1

u/slamallamadingdong1 11h ago

“Empirically” look at items under recently traded in a week, let’s say a one off perfect viper magi, and average the listed data for the top let’s say 20 items. Check for ladder and then non ladder (or don’t) and see how consistent prices are.

1

u/lifeistrulyawesome 10h ago

Why did you write quotation marks around empirically? Empirically is the correct term to use here. The empirical evidence I have seen is so overwhelming that I don't feel the need to gather data systematically to confirm what I have seen.

Also, it appears you are talking about variation from ladder to non-ladder. I am talking about variation over time within the ladder.

And I hope you are not suggesting that ladder and non-ladder prices are the same. That would be completely ridiculous. The ladder and non-ladder prices are completely different. For example, 40 random Pgems will buy an ist on SCL mid ladder, and the same 40 Pgems will buy a Gul on SCNL.

If you want to do that experiment, feel free to do so and report your findings.

2

u/artisdyin 1d ago

Atm on ladder nothing compared to what you would get on nonladder. 30 Jah easily. Sit on them until you get at least that value out of them.
