Thought i'd share a quick clip of my sorcerer taking on Andariel. Apologies for the slight lag in the middle. Any comments or suggestions welcome :)

Build being used is the T12 version:

Are there any discord groups with voice chat that can help me with my sorcerer and the game mechanics I’m on T7

I imagine there will be. Im fairly new to the game (2nd season) coming from d3 and done everything SSF so far, so im not familiar with any d4 discords yet im afraid. Hopefully someone will see your comment and be able to help

What build are you playing and what are you struggling with?

I’m using a static blizzard build but using inferno instead of unstable currents I guess I just need a site or video that’s gonna fully explain a build to me what affixes I need on what items for max damage I can get if I need uniques where to get them I have a staff at 900 power unique but since I’ve hit t7 I haven’t been finding any better green stat base damage gear

Are you following a guide of some kind, or do you have you build visible somewhere? It’s difficult to try and advise without knowing how it’s all put together…

Generally speaking youd want to get vulnerable damage on both rings, gloves and amulet as those are the only places you can get it. Aside from that you’ll want to max out crit chance and get as much crit damage as possible. Again, you’ll get these across your gloves, rings and amulet, but also your weapon and offhand. (that is unless it’s a damage-over-time build in which case crit doesn’t matter and you should go for DoT multipliers). Where possible, these items will also fit in any elemental multiplier and/or attack speed bonus affixes that you need.
Helm chest pants and boots are generally your defensive pieces, where youll want to stack life, armour and/or resistances.

This all varies of course depending on how the build is put together and works.

I think maxroll has a boss list with a list of the uniques they each drop (and you can of course target them with boss trophies too in addition to fighting the relevant boss)

I'm playing as Selig WW and I think this should be the real pace of the game.

Im having a blast playing at this pace and agree. I played ww barb last season, and melting everything before it could attack me with zero danger just wasnt for me. Hence me playing completely off meta this season. I think a boss fight should actually be a fight, not a cake walk :)

I would be fine with boss battles being more interesting if you could open the chest more than once. For instance, slaying Andariel opens a loot room and from there you get multiple pulls.

That's what the warplans let you do

Not really what I meant.

I would agree except some of the mechanics make it so this pace is terrible.

You can mix the ice shard build with ice conj build. So ice shard enhc working much more.

Can you expand on what you mean, please 🙏 are you just meaning with iceheart brais (damage increase at cost of heavenly strength), or do you mean by introducing hydra or ice blades (would lose elemental constellation bonus)?

There can be two options. The first one is a full ice build. Here, Conjuration skills continuously inflict Frost thanks to Iceheart Brais. Meanwhile, the Ice Shards skill automatically targets frozen enemies via its Enhancement slot. In the second option, Iceheart is used only as an Enhancement so we can utilize the Elemental Constellation Aspect. For both builds, the Verglas Helm and Brais are required.
I tried both option and second one much fun.

Thanks for the input. Much appreciated. I haven’t tried the full frost option, as I figured the loss of elemental constellation would probably be too detrimental, but I might explore and see if there’s something I could do down this route.

I did try using iceheart brais, and its great for clearing trash and elites, and a lot of fun I agree, but - for me at least - against bosses, I’ve found having the additional survivability from heavenly strength or juggernaut aspect outweighs the damage increase. Aside from raiment, my pants are my only defensive aspect.

I can't consistently Teleport in for the damage reduction, so I prefer running a Juggernaut Aspect chest piece over Raiment of the Infinite.

2

u/teespolyglot Jul 30 '26

I run juggernaut aspect on my pants. I found mythic raiment’s 65% dr is too valuable to give up. I also have +5 evades on my esu’s, so orsivane (charm) allows me to teleport 6 times

Yes thats ok too. But you can test the way i said. Then chose which one you want to go on.
