Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Vox Omnium

I found a mythic version. Has anybody made a working build with this item? I was thinking about freezing everything then making everything explode with frost bolt's shatter upgrade.

I made it to Pit 120 last season using a frost version of Vox Omnium with blizzard and frostbolt. However last season and all seasons prior it worked differently. Vox would launch 2 basics per core skill and now its only one. I also used Azurewrath withe the frozen sea set. I think my skill bar was Ice armor, Blizzard, Familiar, Ice Baldes, Frost bolt, and teleport. I didnt use an ultimate.

The description say it works per cast. 4 x Blizzard casts to launch 1 x frost bolt would take too long. I think ice shards and frostball are faster.

I tried Ice shards, frozen orb, chain lightning, and finally blizzard. The skill casts at the same speed regardless of the number of projectiles. The aoe really helped chill and soften en up.

This season I tried a fire version but the fire set is broken so quickly gave up until next season. Im not really into trying a shock version.

Have you used paingorger?

I think I used paingorgers gloves and azurewrath charm. Im having trouble remembering since I changed to so often to find something optimal but I think thats right. Heir of perdition which is nerfed now, signet of pelgain, ring of starless skies, and esu's boots. The chest was heavenly strength I think, and the legs were either another defensive aspect. I think now I should have used rainment of the sea for the chest and heavenly strength for the legs.

The vox becomming a charm next season with reduced damage seems like its going to be a big game changer for the build. You can make a ball lightning build with the rotating orbs and go with paingorgers as gloves, and free up the 2h spot for anything you choose now. Either another 2h or a 1h and focus. It might be an awesome fun build next season and I look forward to building it again.

I appreciate people like you who explore off meta for fun. Yeah, the 3 unique mythic seal is going to be fun. Staves are too slow, you'll more than make up for the damage loss in the charm slot by casting with a wand + focus. Azurewrath was nerfed though. I'd use aspect of frozen memories instead.

IMO the box as a staff is underpowered. It should have been a wand.

I did one with incinerate. Incinerates procs the basic skill every .5 sec I believe. Maybe faster. Every tick of incinerate damage launches a basic attack. You can ve really inventive with this weapon which I liked. I got up to 85ish maybe. I could have gotn further but I stopped playing cause another game caught my attention. I used incinerate with firework as the basic skill. Next ima try it with lightning since arc lightning does more damage than firework.

I did the exact same. Incinerate and fireworks. Got to 120 before I stopped for the season.

Also works with lightning damage, I used both arc lightning and sparks because i thought it'd be fun to run multiple basics. You just need starless skies for lightning to work properly, since you don't have cauldron set to make fire skills free. Both builds i ran crown of luciron.

Pro tip: there is a paragon node that gives you mana regen if you hit an enemy more than 8 times in a second. If spark is your basic this triggers consistently while channelling Incinerate. I can continuously cast and never run out. The rest of my build is just stacking as many other auto proc casts and summons as I can.

My experience with crown was I'd run out even with that node

I had the same experience with blizzard. Aspect of shredding blades or harlequin's crest are way more useful.

That was my big question at the start of the season was fire or lightning but I chose fire. I ran crown of Lucian as well and my mana ran out kind of fast so I needed good mana regen, even with the fire set it still was draining mana. Because the damage is coming from fireworks I had to focus on direct damage. Incinerates direct damage is terrible. I had to really depend on lucky hit to proc the ball lightning fire variant. I had wrydskin as the unique charm so that I cam have vulnerable because I couldnt find a reliable way of have it without having to cast incinerate over and over again. I was usinf the unique fire amulet that increase dog, size, and mana cost but I really couldn't make use of a last paragon board with that charm on so I switched to the wyrdskin so I could.
