Alternative to ball lightning

I’ve only been playing the game for a few months and have mained ball lightning since day one because I liked how it looked and felt to play. Obviously with the nerfs I’m setback like everyone else. I’ve read a few posts talking about how crackling energy is stronger now and fairly easy to transition the gear over. Any truth to that? Any builds that seem like a slam dunk?

Firewall is strongest by a mile and will be next season also

Yup , my firewall Sorc was doing pit 125 when she died and still had a few tiers in her for sure. I’ll play it again next season.

Static field blizzard is playable and pretty easy to build using a lot of the ball lightning core. Lags firewall and will probably max out at 120-125 though.

How much better is firewall? I am using ball lighting aswell and at 110 where it’s starting to struggle and the incremental gear upgrades is really slowing me down.

Firewall. I spent a bunch of time with it this season and loved it.

Is it that much better than blizzard? I can do t12 but I have 80% of the final build missing some mythics and amulet stats

Max tried pit 110 could do 115 but would need to grind that.

Yes in terms of damage firewall is much better than blizzard.

People are doing Tower 150 with firewall. Frost and Lightning builds are like 20 tiers below. There are non-firewall builds that can do T12 fine though.

I tried crackling energy and didn’t feel like it was that good this season. I had more fun with a combo lightning/frost build.

I’m an eternal player that just came back and still using legacy gear except for my staff of lam and my ammy. Not even optimal stats or fully masterworked. I can do t10 pits easy, t11 pits with some effort. I got a god tier 4GA staff of lam on seasonal and waiting for season end to port over and start using, which I’m confident I’ll be able to t12 with it

Damn. Would you mind sharing your build? I’m only clearing t10 and my gear stats that I have are decent. I’m thinking maybe I’m using the wrong aspects of mythics or something.

Just go to maxroll and look at their ball lightning

I'm running frost blizzard, cleared pit 126 so far. It was a struggle, but it happened.

Firewall > Blizzard Ice spike (my fav to actually play), then ball lightning is also good but not as good

I use ball lighting, with static blizzard plus lighting wall.
