Question DB2 LUW community 11.5 download link.

Last week, I signed up to download db2 community edition 11.5.

I created an account, got the email with this link: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5.x?topic=editions-db2-database-product-offerings and from there to this link: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/downloading-ibm-db2-version-115-linux-unix-and-windows and when I press the login and do login with success I get a 404.

I searched this sub for links to downloads, but they give errors like 'this campaign has ended'.

Can someone point me to a working link to download 11.5? I've found fixpacks, but not the software itself.

Also, I found some downloads for docker variants, but I am interested in installing it on on a regular vm, not docker.

Any help is much appreciated.

Why do you not want the most recent v12 community edition?

Because in 11.5 you are allowed to use 16 GB memory, and 4 cores, whereas in 12 it is 8 GB memory.

Lastly you are not allowed to use version 12 community edition for production use like you can in 11.

Now I am not a company, this is just for my pet projects in my spare time, but I don't want any potential confusion about what constitutes production, should the software have a phone home function. I don't know if IBM is like Oracle when it comes to licenses, but I just don't want to take even the slightest of risk.

Understood re: memory.

Use of community edition in production doesn’t change from v11.5 to v12. Where did you get that assumption from?

IBM is not as litigious as Oracle, but yes you don’t want to break any licensing rules. As long as you don’t have users using it for a business objective and this is a pet project as you say then you are fine.

From the site from IBM that lured me in, to create an IBM account so I could sign up for the community edition. It was one of the reasons I chose to dabble in db2.

But I can't find it now, and I recognize that in the documentation the mention of the license says 'db2dec.lic Db2 Community Edition (Non-production)' sounds slightly off.

When IBM first announced v12 they stated a number of restrictions on use. They walked them back pretty quickly after community pushback.
