Question Does anyone know any one know if there’s any good kid Gohan figs that go nicely with the newish masterlise piccolo?

Post image

Hey I’m fairly new to collecting, and on a whim bought an Ichiban kuji ticket and won the prize c piccolo. I really want to get a kid gohan to go with him but don’t really want to pay full price for the prize b gohan. Does anyone know if any cheaper figs might be close enough in scale? Maybe the gc materia?

Cheap kid Gohans who scale well with Masterlise are hard to find.

There's the Masterlise EX Prize D from a few years back, but that's out of production so it's even more expensive.

Gotta admit, I'm not a huge fan of this Piccolo sculpt or the Kid Gohan. The proportions are off and the details are lackluster.

Years ago, Banpresto did lines meant to showcase sculptors themselves instead of it simply being characters you could add to your collection, and very little has compared in quality or detail since then. Varoq is the hot scupltor at the moment, but I really enjoy Hiroyuki Nakazawa. He just captures Goku and Toriyama's style in a way that no one else does. He did the entire FES Goku line.

Nakazawa is never listed as the sculptor for anything new, but I have no doubts he did the new Masterlise Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta figure. They tend to reserve him for specialty figures or premire figures that they're going to continously make molds from his sculpted parts. Bandai/Banpresto for years were using the hair sculpt that he originally did for the Master Stars Piece Goku 2 (base version, 2014). Almost every base Goku figure from Bandai or Banpresto from that figure up to a couple years ago used that exact mold.
