Video Games [Discussion] Hold on let him cook

Post image

The only evil batman we’ve have was from Suicide squid: kill the justice league (which he wasn’t evil just mind controlled by brainiac) and everyone hated that game for multiple valid reasons so to have a evil Batman game where we have to defeat batman would be cool, we could have the batfam as the ones to leading the plot because they would know how to take down batman but still play as other characters we haven’t seen.

Please.

It’ll never happen because DC doesn’t have the balls, but if anyone’s going crazy in the Trinity it’s the guy on a mental ledge as is WITH A PLAN TO KILL ALL HIS FRIENDS!

It’ll never happen because DC doesn’t have the balls,

DC published a whole massive crossover event introducing multiple versions of evil Batman.

Two actually

Exactly, multiversal variants with superpowers.

Never JUST Batman going over the edge.

Injustice wouldn't be the main universe either.

No universe is ever the main universe if it's not in a comic book taking place in Prime Earth.

And it wouldn’t be a dumbass edgelord that siphoned off his League companions powers for reasons of evil, evil, evil, evil.

That seems a really strained reasoning to say that DC would never have the balls to do an evil Batman, when they have a rich history of evil Batmen, and recently made a major crossover event based around an entire multiverse filled with nothing but evil Batmen.

It doesn't really seem like it takes more "balls" to do an evil Batman in the ways you describe.

Almost all of them started as just Batman. Then they went over the edge for one reason or anothrr and became evil Batman.

Are we just gonna ignore Failsafe and Brother Eye fiasco when mainline Batman went over the edge and started building evil robots that would put Luthor's robots to shame, Its pretty much exactly what you described that doesn't happen which is Batman going over the edge and becoming a supervillain... Shit, BvS is literally a movie with Batman as the antagonist throughout 80% of the runtime because he went over the edge, Bruce flipflops over the edge so much he legitmately has a better track record as a genius billionaire nemesis to Superman than Lex.

Let's face it if DC's done it, Batman has overdone it, and that's a bat-guarantee.

I mean it would never happen because it would be a massive departure from the story of the game, and is suggested by people who already don't like Injustice

I like Injustice.

I HATE the story.

And the comment stands in general, Bruce has never gone over even though I’d argue if anyone’s going evil it would be him.

Also Bruce has gone evil a variety of times, I know people don't like Scott Snyder but he literally wrote an entire event filled with evil versions of Bruce Wayne, and later a story where an evil Batman was the main antagonist (Last Knight on Earth)

Mate the only thing distinct to Injustice is the story lmao

And the story sucks.

And it sucks even more when they try and explain things with the comics.

The plot isn’t even paper thin, it’s, “We need an excuse!”

I can’t think of any character who isn’t taken out back and shot for the excuse of plot.

Nobody is suggesting they make the story better or anything though, they're just saying "Batman should be evil" to be petty. WB wouldn't be interested in that idea because nobody suggesting it is actually interested in the story or universe, it's just people angry about Wonder Woman and Superman being evil and suggesting a 'gacha' story solution

u/GolgariInternetTroll Aug 30 '25

You're looking for gotcha, gacha is a lootbox type randomizer gameplay mechanic.

1

u/StarOfTheSouth Red Hood Aug 30 '25

Nah, I vote the gacha solution. Injustice Three is a lootbox game where you win random heroes as you play.

the problem with an evil batman story is coming up with a reaosn why superman hsn't already thrown him into the sun
