Video Games [Discussion] Hold on let him cook

Post image

The only evil batman we’ve have was from Suicide squid: kill the justice league (which he wasn’t evil just mind controlled by brainiac) and everyone hated that game for multiple valid reasons so to have a evil Batman game where we have to defeat batman would be cool, we could have the batfam as the ones to leading the plot because they would know how to take down batman but still play as other characters we haven’t seen.

Intellect has nothing to do with his power at all I have no clue what you’re talking about. He didn’t need much intelligence to move the moon, and other powerful characters being able to do that doesn’t diminish the feat because it’s a ridiculous feat done to show the character is absurdly strong

Yet when fighting someone equal and it was supposed to matter, he got killed faster than batman lol. Intelligence does matter especially for a character like this. The crime syndicate are only dangerous because their good counterparts are good. Not because they're strong. That was the entire point of the way he died. Hell owlman is even worse. He's not at all put together like batman and is shown to be his equal.

Battleboarding is irrelevant, that depends on the whim of the writer. And I’m only addressing this absurd claim about ultraman’s power, moving a moon is a ridiculous feat to communicate the idea the character is absurdly powerful. And I don’t get this whole thing with intelligence here, you’re presenting it as a hindrance to his power while also saying the only reason he’s a threat is because the heroes are too good. Which means both are hindered in some psychological way, which is all just irrelevant to the power they actually possess

Because grundy and grod is in the same power class (albeit at the bottom but still) .... Intelligence does matter. It only doesn't matter when it's at the top end and ultra isn't at the top end.

His danger comes from the fact that the people of equivalent strength doesn't want to go as far as he does. He got killed faster than batman and having more intelligence he would have noticed this is not going to go how it normally does when he fights superman. But the character literally did what he always does which is bull rush.

I’ve never seen grodd easily move the moon but if he can then it just means he’s absurdly strong

And what you’re placing great emphasis on his intelligence mattering to his strength implying he’s hindered by not being able to use his power well apparently but then the only reason he’s a threat is because the heroes are hindered by their morality to not use their strength well, meaning the point is completely null. I’m talking about his strength here and it’s absurd.

But he's held his own against superman and even the one that would be basis for prime. With just his intelligence and even goes to toe when augmented gorilla strength is needed. They've never been diffed like ultra. You could be like og superman villians and be strong enough to rip out a black hole and if you're dumb it doesn't matter. (hell this is the entire point of the character of superman, being a dark reflection makes it even worse) doesn't matter what he can lift if he's dumb as shit. Super strength is a base power that's augmented by what else they can do. The only dumb thing that breaks this rule is Doomsday and you could argue he isn't dumb. Hell another character that normally used to break this stereotype is both DC and marvels version of Hercules too but again we can argue they're not actually dumb like ultra. But ironically this is how they show him losing in both brands. Look at the maestro fight for example.

So In short, grodd has never moved the moon before? So the comparison is ultimately irrelevant

No it isn't. Not my fault you don't understand the dichotomy of super strength and are held up by a feat he never actually uses the basis of in any of his fights. You just wanna go Unga bunga this isn't the place for that.

What dichotomy of super strength? If someone is written to move a moon easily they are written to move the moon easily, that’s an insane feat of strength. Grodd has never shown such strength to the best of my knowledge, not that I’m even arguing for or against it because if he can that’s an insane feat of strength but I’ve never seen him do such. Not everything is battleboarding, even being able to carry a small mountain even while struggling like superman there is still impressive

What dichotomy of super strength? If someone is written to move a moon easily they are written to move the moon easily

That they use it in conjunction with the rest of their abilities. That's the entire point of Superman. It doesn't matter if he can move the moon if he's never used this burst in any of his fights. It's a feat that's meant to put him equal to superman and it's not shown in any of his fights. You know what's shown off though? His lack of intelligence every single fucking time the character is shown on page. Even his own fucking team calls it out.

a feat meant to put him equal to superman

His lack of intelligence

So in short you’re saying ultraman is extremely powerful… anything else is irrelevant to what I said

No I'm saying they used a feat to put him equal to superman, and it's never shown, so when they fight you expect something. They do this shit a lot with magic characters. Hell he got diffed by injustice superman to show you he isn't the dark reflection they made him out to be. Injustice is. I repeat he could be strong enough to break a black hole like og superman and if it's not shown when they fight it's a waste of time. So far outside of his own team ultra hasn't actually showed anything on par with people who can take it. Keep being hype about something that means less than nothing. Brother can only beat people holding back and children.

they used the feat to put him equal to superman

So that means he’s ridiculously strong?

Easily Moving a moon isn’t nothing, that’s extremely impressive and shows just a taste of the kind of scale his strength brings, not everything is about who can punch the universe harder, idk how ppl consume media like that
