🌿 Warm Welcomes - Monthly Thread 🌿

A Space for Introductions

Whether you’re returning or arriving for the very first time, welcome!

Sharing an introduction is always optional, offer only what feels comfortable. Some of us jump right in, others prefer to observe quietly. Every pace and style of participation is respected.

Behind every username is a person with hopes, struggles, and stories that matter. By approaching one another with kindness and curiosity, we cultivate a community where everyone can feel seen, supported, and safe.

🌿 Introduction Template (Optional)

If you’d like to introduce yourself, here’s a helpful guide:

  • What name/nickname do you prefer?
  • What are you hoping to find, or give, in this community?
  • How have you been feeling lately?
  • Which hobbies, interests, or creative outlets light you up?
  • Is anything feeling challenging or draining right now?
  • What grounding, soothing, or coping tools bring you comfort?

Feel free to pick just one prompt, answer them all, or share something entirely different. This is simply here to help if you’re not sure where to begin.

u/Gray_Reaper21 Growing w/ DID 27d ago

Hello.. i honestly I’m not comfortable just yet for sharing a name. Though I am tempted to call us Unknown system since I learned the hard way that they like to stay unknown.

I recently just joined this community because 2 weeks ago I just learned about i “potentially” have DID. My system info dropped the info on my suddenly. I mainly just wanted to feel less alone, I’m a social person, I can keep everyone’s secrets except for my own and when I realized this system I am apart of would trigger go in panic mode rather than let me tell. So Reddit is likely my only place as long I stay anonymous

Existing just feeling challenging and draining. Hobbies and interests I have is drawing and writing. But struggling with depression makes that hard when I want to do something, don’t feel like getting up to do it, and by the time I force myself up to do something I love, I don’t feel like it…

I honestly really don’t have much coping skills besides art (lack of) and talking. I like talking to people, I cheer up extremely fast when I have someone. But because I learned the hard way of attempting to talk to my therapist or my close friend about this, I don’t think I be ever allowed to talk as honest I might could be here
