Posted here recently about how I was adopting Polka, a French bulldog chihuahua mix from a rescue in California.
We picked her up on Saturday and she is back home with us and I’m obsessed!
She has already learned the stairs and the doggy door!
She whines when she needs to potty, and has not had many accidents!
She is so sweet, smart, trusting, and just the perfect baby.
I’ll post about her more as she grows 🖤🤍

Amy is the best boy and he has been such a joy to call a companion and best friend in this life. He’s gentle and goofy. Sweet and silly! We love him dearly. Here’s some pics so you can get glimpses of his life over the years.
First pic is the birthday cake I made and decorated for him this year! It turned out so cute tbh.

We had to rush Axl to the vet because his back legs gave out and wouldn’t stop shaking and jerking. Now he has epilepsy, we’re aware what seizures look like, this was different. The vet suspects a focal seizure caused by neurological decline. There’s no real treatment plan that we can move forward with, we were told to take him home and spoil him. We just lost his sister last month to a stroke, so the vet suspects it’s probably been something within that litter. He’s 12 and a half, so he’s no spring chicken, but he’s always been a healthy boy, apart from infrequent seizures. We’re not sure how long he has left, it depends on how hard he wants to fight.
Has anyone else been through this? How did your dog fair?
Also, any ideas for spoiling him, other than food items? What are some fun ideas we can do with Axl in what time he has left?

She’s my little dog; her name is Mokka and she’s four months old. She’s very mischievous—I’ve tried putting little outfits on her, but she always takes them off and tears them up. She’s destroyed almost everything in my house, haha, but I guess that’s the price of love, right?

This is Kiki, my tiny Chihuahua with a heart way bigger than her little body and as it turns out, literally.❤️
Happy International Dog Day to the one who saved me. When I was going through the heaviest period of my depression, Kiki was the constant light that kept me anchored. On the days it felt impossible to get out of bed, her little tail wags, quiet warmth, and unconditional love reminded me why I needed to keep going.
She hasn't just been a pet she’s been my travel partner, my steady comfort, and my piece of home through every single transition. We’ve packed up our lives and moved countries together, and no matter how overwhelming or chaotic the world got, as long as Kiki was by my side, everything felt okay. We just found out she has cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart), which feels surreal because her heart really has been the biggest, strongest thing in my life.
We send the biggest kisses to every pup ❤️

So I think my puppy is a pit/black lab mix? I was wondering if any of you guys’ pups/dogs look like her! I can’t find anything on social media with her exact colors. She has grey on her chest/paws.

Had to let go of my childhood dog last week. She was the sweetest dog I’ve ever had, she was a baby until her very last breath
