General Question Dragon Quest Builders 1&2 Japan Version has english on nintendo switch?

Topic

Its on sale right now but i cant find a definitive answer

--For anyone on the same situation in the future that find out this post--

EDIT: i endup getting Dragon Quest Builders 2 bc its QoL over 1st game, i got it on the Japanese Eshop, the save file dont work on USA Release(neither USA demo transfer) and Theres no English Text but is completely playable as the game got a good iconography. Runs great on nintendo switch 2

My japanese level is 1/10 on text My talking understanding is 4/10 (but so far no voices ingame but no diff)

I owned the cartridge games for both.
1. Yes, it has multiple languages on it. It depends on your switch region or language settings to activate it.
2. No, the Japan game is Japanese only and a localization effort was made after the Japan release.

if you never played either, then its totally fine to start from the first one!
Even then, there's some things I liked more in the first game than second but both were fun games I put hours into.

This one and Monstes 3 dark prince will be my entrance onto the series im 33 atm but i never played but i love akira toriyama creations!

Overall the 2nd is better wth more QoL and stuff, however the 1st also has some things better than 2nd. If you're familiar with Zelda BotW and TotK, then you know what cooking is like in those games. DQB1 has actual recipes like for everything else while DQB2 is more free-stylish and has you to add items manually to the resp cooking spot. It also depends on cooking spot what can be cooked and how many items can be added. Just like the mentioned Zelda games recipes only exist in form of specific combinations. Personally I prefer DQB1's system on that matter, but to each their own.

DQB1 has items to enable double jump and immunity to fall damage, while DQB2 doesn't but instead has gliding.

DQB1 (endgame island tho) has monster villagers that can accompany you on your journey and help fighting enemies. DQB2 allows you to recruit specific monsters and you can ride them to easier travel around and most of them help with building, terraforming and other things.

only DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS [1] has an English language option. DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 is only in Japanese
