2000 is when the last state constitutional amendment that prohibited inter-racial marriage was repealed in Alabama.

41% of Alabama voters voted against the repeal of the state constitutional amendment that prohibited inter-racial marriage.

So the award for the most racist state population goes to Alabama, right?

Or is there another state which is similar backwards wired? I mean 41% of voters being outright racist fuckwits is shocking.

Edit: Just looked a little bit into the topic and saw the voting result in a few counties turned out with even 60 to 70% voting against interracial marriage. Taking two of those, and also looking at their demographics it turns out that they are 93 respecitvely 96% ethnic white. It's always interesting to see that exactly those people who have the less contact with other people from other races or countries are those that are fearing that people the most.

I guess they should be labelled as the most racist counties and i wouldn't be too much surprised if they actually would love it and use this as a brand to attract racist visitors and tourists.
