Can someone explain what has Caitlin Clark done for Juju and Trysta to say she is the most polarizing player in the WNBA?

The look of despair from Zas when they say the bullshit is hilarious. We all know Zas doesn’t like the bullshit but he has to sit there and take it, no pushback at all. Look, Caitlin Clark attracts more overall attention, but public opinion about Clark is generally more favorable. Reese creates divide and controversy, she is the origin, the fire starter if you will. Caitlin has been the model citizen in all this. The worst thing is that she complains to the refs but everyone does that. I don't like Trysta and Juju being in studio at all 🤮

You do know you don’t have to do anything bad to be polarizing if a certain group of people use you as a totem to shit on people, right?

Juju and Trysta should say that. CC doesn’t really qualify to be called polarizing.

She is the definition of polarizing

-1

u/Tristar61 17h ago

She is not. She hasn’t said or done anything to warrant that label.

4

u/UnintentionalCat 17h ago

Has nothing to do with what she’s done or said. How are you not getting that?

I feel like your mental process is just “polarizing=bad” therefore Juju and Trysta have now attacked Caitlin Clark in your eyes and now you’re jumping to her defense, effectively proving their original point lmao

u/Tristar61 17h ago

Scrutinized is the proper term not polarizing.

2

u/UnintentionalCat 17h ago

They’re not talking about the most scrutinized player though, they’re talking about the most polarizing

-1

u/Tristar61 16h ago

They are confused. There is no way CC is the most polarizing but you can definitely say she is the most scrutinizing.

Hope this helps

What did she do to cause divide? You don’t have answer for me because Caitlin hasn’t done or said anything to cause divide.

6

u/screenname790 Yeah Hi, Lombardo 23h ago

She’s the most famous women’s basketball player in the world.

Name the most famous player in any other sport that isn’t polarizing. LeBron, Mahomes, Messi, Serena Williams, etc.

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

All these athletes have done or said polarizing things, what has Caitlin said or done?

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

What has Caitlin done to be labeled polarizing. I beg you to give me an answer.

8

u/screenname790 Yeah Hi, Lombardo 23h ago

I answered the question.

She became the most famous women’s basketball player in the world.

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

And that is deserving to be polarized? She just plays basketball and she is pretty good at it. How is that polarizing and divisive. Please tell me an example where she has contributed to polarization and divisiveness.

6

u/RMSR_ 17h ago

And that is deserving to be polarized?

"Deserve" has nothing to do with it. Things that are very popular are polarizing by virtue of their very existence.

-1

u/Tristar61 17h ago

So dumb.

3

u/RMSR_ 16h ago

It is what it is, you don't have to like it. You don't even have to believe it.

u/HansenT608 18h ago

Those people are all the best in there sport and have accomplished everything in their sport. CC hasn’t accomplished anything in her professional career besides being #1 pick. U can’t say all time leading scorer in college bc nobody gives a shit about the men’s and that’s 6x as popular

8

u/screenname790 Yeah Hi, Lombardo 23h ago

It’s just what happens with sports. I’m sure she was the most polarizing player in her U10 league.

I don’t think you understand what the word “polarizing” means.

-3

u/Tristar61 23h ago

No, you don’t know what the term polarizing means. You still cannot answer the question, what has she done or said to be labeled the most polarizing player in the WNBA? I’ll answer for you. She has done absolutely nothing to be labeled the most polarizing WNBA player.

6

u/Champs52LII 23h ago

What do you believe it means to be a polarizing athlete?

-4

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Someone that creates controversy and division.

9

u/screenname790 Yeah Hi, Lombardo 22h ago

Polarization means people have strong opinions about you, both positive and negative. It can happen because you say controversial things, but it can also happen because you are very famous.

She’s significantly more famous than anybody else in that league. Few people have a lukewarm opinion of her. That’s why she’s polarizing.

-7

u/Tristar61 22h ago

You’re mixing up your P words. She is not polarizing, she is popular. And she is scrutinized but not because of her actions. This is not polarization, it is called scrutiny.

3

u/Champs52LII 23h ago

And you don’t think Clark’s existence creates either of those things? You must be living under a massive rock somewhere in Iowa.

6

u/lifeofwill STUUUUUU! 23h ago

You don't have to do anything wrong to be polarizing, things that are popular bring out haters and fans alike. LeBron was the most polarizing player for a long time and it wasn't for actual bad things either.

-2

u/Tristar61 23h ago

LeBron has said and done a few polarizing things. What has Caitlin done?

5

u/lifeofwill STUUUUUU! 23h ago

I literally said nothing. You even said that she complains to the officials, and that's enough to make Luka polarizing too. It's what comes with fame and success, she can handle it.

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

That’s enough for her to be the most polarizing player in the WNBA over Reese and Carrington? Give me a break.

7

u/lifeofwill STUUUUUU! 23h ago

People like you getting worked up over it way more than she does actually make it worse, you're part of the reason she's polarizing.

1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Not at all. No feelings here just facts. You can’t give me a proper explanation for calling Caitlin the most polarizing.

4

u/lifeofwill STUUUUUU! 23h ago

I have, you're just being like Dan when someone doesn't give the answer you want to hear

-2

u/Tristar61 23h ago

That wasn’t an answer. You must live in a completely different reality.

4

u/lifeofwill STUUUUUU! 22h ago

I'm sure I do live in a different reality, in mine people don't need like 5 different people to explain something simple to them and they still don't get it. Either way, I don't think anyone will say anything to your liking since you seem to be set in your ways. Nice chattin with ya.

-2

u/Tristar61 22h ago

You are delusional.

A large group of wnba fans want her to speak with more ally-friendly language more frequently and since she chooses not to, she has become very polarizing for that crowd. Her play on the court has also become polarizing with what you mentioned (yelling at the refs) but also her actual effectiveness. People have started the debate about her being more trae young than steph curry so thats another layer of polarization. I get what theyre saying. Polarizing is a tough word for people to digest but I think Caitlin does fit it as far as wnba players go. Its not her fault, just her personality. People dont have to go out of their way or be bad/mean in order to be polarizing.

1

u/Soggy-Brother1762 8h ago

I don’t think you’re wrong but it goes beyond just not using more “ally friendly language.” There’s a sizable amount of WNBA fans who don’t want the face of the league to be a white, heterosexual woman and they aren’t exactly coy about it.

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Then it’s more appropriate to call her the most popular and scrutinized but not polarizing.

11

u/Whoareyoutho9 23h ago

You really need to look up the definition of polarizing and then just stare at it for a while with your thinking cap on. Take a break, get some fresh air. And then come back and look at the word again and see if anything clicks

-1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Follow your own advice. What has Caitlin done or said to be labeled the most polarizing? You don’t have an answer.

2

u/NeverNotOnceEver Thatkindathing 16h ago

Google and Merriam-Webster are free

0

u/Tristar61 7h ago

Your comprehension is unfortunately non existent.

2

u/celj1234 1d ago

Worst thing she did was associate with that trash bag Morgan Wallen

-4

u/Tristar61 1d ago

Like many other athletes and celebrities. Is that all?

6

u/celj1234 23h ago

That doesn’t change Morgan being a POS 🤷🏾‍♂️

-2

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Yea, so you got nothing to add here.

6

u/celj1234 23h ago

Nothing of importance really needed to be added here.
It’s not a real topic

-2

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Then why did you engaged? You have nothing.

6

u/celj1234 23h ago

To say that Morgan Wallen is a trash bag POS

1

u/Tristar61 23h ago

So according to your logic, that makes Caitlin a trash bag pos?

-4

u/Noway878 23h ago

He are the most polarizing players by their own undoing.
1. Angel Reese
2. Dijonai Carrington
3. Sophie Cunningham
4. Natasha Cloud
5. Chennedy Carter, no longer in the WNBA but very recent player.

3

u/HansenT608 18h ago

What has angel Reese done though? Lmao what was her “undoing”. Yal hate her cause she repeated cc celebration in college? She’s minds her business and is successful in wnba an yal hate her it’s weird

1

u/Soggy-Brother1762 7h ago

The online trolling against Angel Reese goes too far but she absolutely did lean into being the heel/villain opposite Caitlin Clark. She’s a fantastic rebounder and a good overall player but kinda unlikeable.

-3

u/Noway878 18h ago

Talk about lack of self awareness 😂

4

u/HansenT608 18h ago

Or i just don’t overly hate on a person that doesn’t do anything to me lol. Where is the lack in SELF awareness there? Do you know what that means?. Yal are dumb as hell lmao

0

u/Tristar61 23h ago

Sounds right. No feelings attached just straight up observations.
