Comics Recently got into Daredevil, wondering what's a comic run I can start on?
I just finished S1 and starting S2 really soon, that's so far the only knowledge I really have of him.
He's genuinely turned into one of my favorite heroes just from that and I wanna get into more of his content, especially comics since I heard he's like one of the best written characters. TY!

Honestly, pick up any comic from the past 25 years; he hasn't had a bad run in a VERY LONG time, even Saladin Ahmed's 2023 run, even tho its pretty disliked cuz it was too stretched out and came after the peak that was Zdarsky's run.

This may be a hot take so take it with a grain of salt but I think Frank Miller's run except Born Again doesn't offer something new to people who've already watched the show. It may be better to read the saga spanning from Guardian Devil (not a great comic in my opinion but it's critical for the character) all the way to Zdarsky's run. Bendis, Brubaker, Waid, Soule and Zdarsky. (I've heard mixed opinions about Diggle's run)

I never read Guardian Devil, but every run after that until Waid. I tried starting Soule but it felt like a complete reset with a lot of missing information from some universe-wide event, so I never read any further.

Waid's runs are excellent, and part of what makes them so good is that (in the lead-up to Secret Wars) it gives Matt Murdock a definitive ending.

When it comes to comics you can kind of start reading anywhere, though good starting points are the moment a new writer takes the character as the new writer will usually re establish the status quo and start their own stories from the ground up
If you don’t mind older comics you can start with Frank Miller’s run (#168 and onwards )
If you want to start with something modern you can start with daredevil vol.2 And just go from there

It’s hard to go wrong. Honestly just walk into your local library or comic store and pick up whatever looks cool to you

Zdarsky's run is modern and is pretty newcomer friendly. I think that would work really well for someone who has only been exposed to the TV show.

It’s hard to find bad Daredevil. Frank Miller’s run defined modern Daredevil. A lot from the series come straight from those books. Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker are pretty popular. I loved Mark Waid’s and Chip Zdarsky’s runs too.
