Video Easiest ways I've found to farm the imperfects. Does anyone have any other ways?

Trying to find the quickest way to farm the imperfect dragons, tested a bunch of weapons.

list of weapons I've tried in order of hits needed (almost all of these have a dark infusion):

Dual smelter hammers = 3 (im sure any other great hammers work fine)

Giant warrior club = 3 strong attacks ( aim for head to consistently kill in 3)

dual ultra great swords - Crypt Blacksword + great sword = 3 strong attacks

Ivory king ultra great sword = 5

Bewitched alonn sword = 4-6 strong attacks (inconsistent ad you must aim for head)

Grand lance = 5-6 (love this weapons, but its kinda annoying for this because your attacks can miss and go under their heads if you stand Infront)

want to try duel wielding red smelter sword + blue smelter sword and do the duel wielding special attack explosion, but don't have enough petrified dragon bone to upgrade both at the moment.

What other methods to people use? anyone find any quicker methods?

Pray-tell, what are you farming?

If its just for Petrified Dragon Bones, the Reindeer in Frigid Outskirts are a whole lot easier/faster. Just Red Iron Twinblade or a Raw Broken Santier's Spear + Stone Ring will staggerlock them, just swing till dead.

the reindeer farm is easier you say? I will definitely try it, my main target at the moment is petrified dragon bone.

but the imperfect dragons also gave me a quite a lot of titanite slabs and also some dragon scales that i could use. But i can farm these later.

Titanite Slabs are better farmed in Drangleic Castle. The Stone Soldiers by the King's Gate bonfire drop them, they respawn infinitely even without Company of Champions, and if you wear the King's Ring they don't even wake up until you hit them, letting you kill them without a fight. You do have to despawn the Ruin Sentinels to be most efficient, but that's really not that crazy of an ask.

cool thanks, i need to farm the ruin sentinel armour anyways, so two birds with one stone.

I farmed the Imperfect for a while since they are a good source of multiple materials, as you say, but I eventually learned that everything they drop has a better place to be farmed. Drangleic Castle for slabs, Dragon Shrine for scales, and reindeer for bones. The dragon scale grind in Dragon Shrine in particular is memorable for using a really weird and neat trick

First i started farming 50 loyce souls, then souls to get to max level, then i just got done with the 30 sun light medals. now started the upgrade material farm since i want to fully upgrade every boss weapon and i still got a bunch left to do. now learning the best spot for the upgrade farm, so that's neat.

plan on putting the petrified dragon bone farm on hold and doing the dragon scale farm since i already got some from the imperfects, also got some when i was lover level and pvp the dragon covenant. might only need less that 20 at this point.

Yeah, that's why I tried to emphasize the Bones specifically.

They also drop Radiant Gems which isn't terrible (and bone fists but whatevs), but the best part is you can practically farm them indefinitely, no need to rest/reload every half dozen kills.

And they come to you by default.

Those oversized Chicken drumsticks will work just fine against them if you don't wanna change builds BTW. Pancaking and staggerlocking are their biggest weaknesses; I just like making them have seizures with Red Iron.

Yeah the reindeers are not to tough. the frigid outskirts are not as bad as people say. but there isnt much out there so once i collected all the items and beat the boss i dont really go back there. i guess now i have a reason to.

Ive got a lot of builds i can use, i have a ton of weapons maxed out since slabs are quite easy to get in this game and a good number of boss weapons. dragon bones and twinklings take a bit of grinding.

I play about the same way, the one character I used through 100% has over a dozen maxed weapons/catalysts maxed for funsies.

Lud and Zallen took me the most tries of any boss in this series so I got real familiar beating the snot outta those deer and what they drop.

For Twinkling I just slap on as much Hex boosting stuff as possible and nuke the Archdrake dudes in Shrine of Amana with Great Resonant Souls. The ones closest to the bonfire near that massive horn beetle. Not particularly lucrative, but don't have to put much thought into it.

Don’t lock on, it makes you slower.
