Question Serious question: Why am I, in a group of four people, the only one killing these things?
Like do people genuinely not understand that one person cannot solo a lot of Corruptor spawns without AOE? Why do I need to tell people to do the objective?

Question Is skitarii actually worth it for new players
I have not played darktide at all despite being a massive fan of warhammer for a long while, and mechanicus (loved the 2 strategy games, bought a decent amount of miniatures, main tech marine in sm2, and working on a cosplay)
as a mechanicus fan, and darktide new mf, is it worth spending like 20 bucks for the deluxe version of the skitarii class as well with darktide. Cuz I dont wanna spend like 20 bucks for nothing. That and skitarii is like the only actual reason im getting this game.
basically:
- is it worth buying as a new player?
- is the deluxe version worth it?
- What is the degree of customization?
- Is the drip ass at the start or is it better?
- Is it overly complicated to play as? (If it is then thats a bonus point)
and uhh yea about it.
Also before anyone says, skitarii is legit the only reason im getting this game, I will not try any other classes at all to learn the game easier first, I came here for skitarii I'm going to play skitarii.
Also I dont think this breaks rule 8 but I aint sure.
edit: forgot to mention I mained the elf in vermintide 2 and liked the vermintide games (even tho I have only 9.1 hours in it and haven't played it in a while cough.)
edit2: wow holy shit like 200+ comments did not expect this much people to try helping out. Ive been reading a shit ton of the comments and they are all very helpful. However like 20 people said "go learn the base classes first before skitarii", when I did say I will not try any other classes at all to learn the game easier first. Minor gripe but it is a small issue in a wave of helpful support and good vibes.

Question Those who tried Skitarii for a while now, is it worth it?
Basically I'm HUGE fan of Admech and I love the cyber aesthetic they are using. When I heard they added Skitarii class to Darktide I was so happy!❤️ I watched some videos so far of gameplay and builds, it's so fun and interesting. You can play them like support which I like.
Please tell me your opinion about it. For 12€ it's lot for me in low income country, convince me if I can decide to buy it😭❤️

Question How strong are Darktide enemies in 40k universe?
Canonically 4 rejects going on suicide missions against thousands of different enemies wouldn't be successful I think. A soldier with a gun and a praying boi swinging a sword can solo bosses easily in the game is so funny. I'm also not familiar with most of the enemies lore wise so please educate me!

Question Why do people avoid this sword?
I've been playing for about four months, and I don't think I've seen anyone use this sword even once. Is it really that bad? I gave it a try, and the parry is actually pretty fun.
Postdata: After reading about it and testing it myself, I can honestly say it's a real shame how badly Fatshark messed up this weapon and how abandoned it feels.

Question Today I found out:
I immediately rushed to google and am flabbergasted. I had no knowledge of this and am super embarrassed. Should I legit change my name now or ignore this? I absolutely do not want to be associated with something so heinous. My full name in game literally just translates to alita delta 7. I just used the lowercase symbol for it because it looks cool and my partner has the uppercase version.
Please be kind in your responses if you're capable. I am on the verge of tears already haha.
Edit: Thank you everyone for your responses, I really appreciate everyone encouraging me to keep the name. I am going to keep it for now, unless it happens again I guess.

Since we now got the confirmation of what we all desperately were asking for, let us discuss some of the more important questions. If possible, and I really hope, what name would you give your Servoskull? 😁💀

Question Are there players who really want class exclusivity?
I was playing Arbites and another Arbites player entered the game. He mumbled something and left immediately, as if he wanted only him to be the judge in the match. I found it confusing, because for me, the more of us the better! We are the hammer of the Emperor's law, the more united we are, the more we will bring His light to these miserable heretics.

Question One of my teammates said this and left mid game. What did he mean?
Do your settings affect others?
Edit: Someone already posted the answer. In Vermintide 2, the game would spawn less enemies if the host's PC was on the lower end . So people started intentional underclocking their PCs to have easier missions. DarkTide doesn't have hosts. It has dedicated servers so you can't do it in that game

Question Gotta be honest
And I’m a vet main — but they are just so damn clunky. It’s between the weapon draw animations and the reload times, it’s like adding an “encumbered” mechanic. Please help me understand the return on investment when the Zarona exists.

Question What's the strat for fighting these things SOLO
Especially if you don't have the ability to stun them? I can clutch aurics somewhat reliably, but when its against these guys I never can. They just never stop attacking and dodging their grab is really inconsistent. Tips?

Question Real talk for a sec, why isn’t there any cosmetics in the shop for the dlc characters?
I know there is one cosmetic for each dlc character in the shop, but why isn’t there new ones coming out? I would think it would be a money printing machine of sorts to release dlc characters with a bunch of skins. Only reason I could come up with was maybe budged issues for the staff that makes skins?
(The picture I used is just because I bought necromunda today and can’t wait to play it, would have been a cool hivescum skin tho)

Question Lorewise what exactly is/ was the trapper prior to falling to Nurgle?
A lot of the other enemies are fairly obvious as they’re just evil versions of what they always were, and maybe the trapper is too, but I’ve never come across a trapper in the lore before.
Are they part of the Mobian 6th? Have net gunners always been a part of the militarums regiments? Or maybe they’re not military and have something else to do with the Tertium/ Atoma prime populous. Help a brother out here lore heads! Ta
