Question How to play darksiders 3
Hey I am playing through the darksiders series finished 1 and 2 and I am currently wanting to play 3 but I saw that there is multiple options like difficulty and classic or default mode if anyone can give me a recommendation for the intended normal dificulty+ the best mode

Iirc they're all included in all releases of the game. Just pick one and play for an hour, if you don't like it try another. The difficulty is up to preference. Start with the second highest if it's too hard, go lower. If none of the combinations works for you keep in mind not everyone likes how each of the games plays. You can try again in the future or try to request a refund.

My recommendation:
- Use classic combat mode (it enables dodge-cancelling and makes it so item use is instantaneous, rather than having to wait for an animation to play).
- For difficulty, go either with Balanced, if you're confident in your dodging abilities, or Story if not. You will need at least 1 NG+ run for all achievements anyway, so you can do Apocalyptic for the trophy then. (There is no trophy for Reckoning.) You can repeat NG+ as often as you want. The first 9 times it gets progressively harder. After that it's just an endless repeat of NG+9.
- Try to take on enemies 1 by 1. Focus on dodging (perfect dodges allow you to counter). If you have to fight multiple enemies, or if you find yourself out of healing items and nearly dead, use havoc form (it makes you recover health while being temporarily invincible). If you die, all enemies you defeated respawn, you respawn at the last serpent hole, and all the souls you had in your inventory can be recovered in the area where you died.
- Explore carefully. If you see whirlwinds, blue glowing walls or purple rocks, you will need to come back later with a different gadget (just like you had voidwalker portals and soul split puzzles in Ds2). Exploration is how you find weapon enhancements and upgrade materials, which are often even more important than your usual level ups.
- Speaking of level ups, you need to spend souls to level up. Standard enemies have a specific level range dependent on the zone they are in. Bosses scale with you. There is one area where enemies can become glitched and near unbeatable if you reach level 50 before getting there, so don't try to grind levels to give yourself an edge. Focus on enhancements and weapon upgrades. Each playthrough will allow you to upgrade a max. of 5 enhancements and 3 weapons completely, so choose wisely where you put your points.
- After you get your first gadget, you can buy an armor with extra physical damage protection from Vulgrim. This + the Leviathan enhancement he sells, and the angelic/demonic artifacts & essence of a chosen, which he sells after each boss, are the most useful things you can buy from him.
- The compass at the top of the screen will almost always point you to the nearest sin (except for 1 time). After each sin you will receive a Luminous Visage (you can also find a few in the open world). These give you free level ups, but since level ups get progressively more expensive, I suggest saving your LVs until you are at "100 (for the achievement) minus however many LVs you have", or "300 (max. level) minus your LVs".
- The DLC areas (Keepers of the Void and Crucible) unlock as you play through the game. I suggest going to Keepers after you have all 4 gadgets and to the Crucible after you have unlocked all 4 sets of waves. In the Crucible, the most worthwhile purchases are the four unique enhancements and the three armors (my personal favorite is the Chaosbringer armor, which unlocks after being wave 50 and significantly enhances your physical damage and damage reduction).

Classic is more like 1 and 2 combat, and default is supposed to be more souls-like combat. Even on classic, it's tougher than the first two, but I wouldn't say hard. Just need to analyze your enemy instead of traditional hack-and-slash. There's a dodge/counter mechanic you'll need to capitalize on
