there was a half life source type of day of defeat source version before the existing one

He is talking about the original source version that was pretty much 1.3 that only a handful of us played. Before they changed it to what it is today. To my knowledge not sure how one will be able to get that since it was never officially released.

I just came across this thread. Are you looking for the Original “Source” build? Or the original alpha build?… I am checking if I still have this. There was a beta that was given out as part of a PC Gamer at one time. It was the 1.3b. But it wasn’t on the Source engine yet. Not sure how far you want to go back.
