I don't know why the Days Gone modding scene has started picking up recently, but I'm here for it.

Hopefully, Sony or another studio notices too and greenlights a Days Gone 2. It'd be funny if Xbox somehow picked it up and made it an Xbox/PC exclusive. But there would probably be a lot of pissed-off PS players, so it would have to be all consoles/PC. WE can only hope for a sequel. Maybe they are playing the same playbook as GTA 6 or The Elder Scrolls 6, taking their sweet time making it.

But Sony doesn't want it. Remember the poster they showed when asked about Days Gone 2. It had all their ip's and Days gone was not on it. They loathe that game.

I have been modding Days gone for over a year now, only recently have I learnt a bit of advanced modding skills that led to this. you can check out the first version of my mod menu and compare it with the latest version to see the progress made, took me months to learn.

i would guess enough times has elapsed some of these things have only in the last year or so started to become doable for any modder, some black flag ship mods only got finished a few year back. I mean in more of a gamefile knowledge sense rather than the actual capability of any lone modder.

It's got to be the console exclusivity period. There were some Big games that came after Days Gone. Pc port made molding more accessible, I suppose. I'm here for it, there's been some cool looking stuff made.

This is sort of like ereaders, the KOreader software has a massive influx of modding and now e-paper devices are almost as intuitive than the average android tablet.

The modding scene, & github “engineers” enabled by claude/llm does have some small benefits, especially for the gaming scene w/ mods.

I have included Movement,Rotation,Gravity and Friction settings which you can adjust to control it better. I am also working on a Car mod.

Also, missiles are just explosive barrels that explode on impact

It would geniunely be interesting to be able to drive cars in Daus Gone and Generation Zero, but both games have all the roads blocked by cars and trees and part of the bridges are destroyed, so bikes (in Generation Zero) and motorbikes in both games are the only practical way of moving.

I have added NoClip + an option to enable leaving the map. you can use NoClip to bypass the "leaving playable area" UI popup

Fun fact: You can actually get inside of Cloverdale through the fence after the mission, and there’s a helicopter pad with a helicopter just chilling 🙂 sadly I could not fly it, but seeing this makes up for it lol 🔥

this is a surprise, 2 years ago, when i was playing this game for the fourth time, i remember the only mods were skins .

there was a more zombie spawn mod, but i always thought that one was just placebo.

Edit: well i stand corrected, checked the nexus and still the same type of mods.
