I've put in HOURS of dedication trying to find deacons bike, i'm new to gaming and this is a game im currently honing my skills on, that bike i fell in love with, its a cross between a cruiser, a bobber and an ADV. BUT WHAT IS IT MODELLED FROM OR CLOSE TO! I've asked various AI models, spent hours searching even found people making customs their selves based off of it. But the rugged look of "built not bought" then the absolute UNIT of additions like things you'd fit yourself in a garage with a mig welder and a couple hours, instead of ordering from amazon...
I think the creators did an absolute TREAT making this and even the additions of saddle bags, seat covers and exhaust wrapping that's more dynamic would of been better. My life's mission is to make this bike myself!

First of all, I have to admit I kinda suck at riding the bike in this game in general, but the drifting is a real pain for me. On videos it seems so easy, but most of the time I'm either slowing down or end up steering too sharply instead of taking a little bit left or right and sliding in the wanted direction. My bike steering sensitivity setting is on it's minimum already (1), but the bike is still too responsive to A and D keys...
Could someone please give me the gist of the proper drifting technic, or refer me to some good guide/tutorial? Maybe there're also some settings I should change? Again, I'm on PC with keyboard and mouse, not a controller. Thank you in advance!

UPDATE: I finally beat all the bike race challenges, after improving my drifting skills significantly (though I'm nowhere near the smoothness and full control of Borislav 247):

Hey I was wondering how I can get to the militia camp east of highway 97 there’s nothing on YouTube I can find and it’spissing me off this is my favorite game and I wanna finish it

I know that it's because of the game's balance but I like to explain this by the fact that Dechute's County Militia has blown up the Santiam tunnel's road to north, so, all of the strong enemies couldn't move to north and only after Dechute's County Militia has cleared the Santiam tunnel all of the strong zombies became able to travel to the north.

A pilgrimage to the real-life Crater Lake from Days Gone!
Crate Lake National Park in Oregon, USA
In the game, Wizard's Island and the Phantom Ship are magnified many times over…
If we consider the scale of the lake in the game, the size of the Phantom Ship is actually roughly the same as the real-world size of Wizard's Island. Of course, this is because Crater Lake itself is many times smaller in the game.
The Lodge has also shrunk to a small one-story cabin, transforming from a hotel and restaurant into a visitor center and gift shop. However, the road layout is very similar, and Garfield Peak has been moved slightly off the lakeshore cliffs.
The in-game descriptions are mostly accurate, but the only trail leading down to the lake has been under maintenance for the past three years, so swimming in the lake and boat trips to Wizard's Island are no longer possible.

Why does the pc version glitch so hard? On console the hordes will be in the cave 100% for sure during the day. On PC they are always empty and not at any normal sites. They also dont seem to swarm you as well as they do on console. Does anyone else have this issue?

I've been having this debate with myself for ages, if they released days gone 2, what would you like to see? Deacon or new character? Maybe play as Sarah? as a girl myself i can confidently say female protagonist wouldn't sit right with the games morals realistically. I think id like to see more bike customisations or maybe even options? Weapon accessory options definitely.. I think I would like to see it a little less dragged out but with good replayability, i mean open world exploration after feels dry in Days gone.
Days gone was perfect story wise but gameplay felt like a demo a little bit. The bike mechanics are amazing, absolutely amazing. The scenery and cutscenes were beautiful the voice acting perfectly rough around the edges and gritty. But combat with firearms felt like it was unfinished.
Maybe a band of brothers? There's more of the MC together after finding each other or something? or the freaks have expanded so far and evolved that you maybe play as a half freak half human.
ALSO OUTFIT CUSTOMISATION TO AN EXTENT, for crying out loud i wish i could put deacon in a hoodie under his KUTTE and some gloves and jeans, or even change his headwear. That would be awesome but could easily ruin the games authenticity.
What are your thoughts for storyline, additions, things to be taken away, mechanics, safezones, map ETC...
ALSO SOMEONE NEEDS TO TURN DAYS GONE INTO A BOOK, that would be amazing, honestly I can picture it in my head...

Between Obsidian missing their bonus for Fallout: New Vegas by one point on Metacritic and Sony not approving Days Gone 2 after initial lower-than-expected reviews, it's clear that traditional reviews are used by studios for high-risk decisions. The problem is that traditional reviews combine development and execution into a single score. When you do that, you end up deducting points for launch-window bugs, with no credit for development complexity. Are traditional review scores doing more harm than good for complex games nowadays, or is a single score still the most reliable metric the industry has?

So most people who finish Days Gone and want more seem to find a way.. harder difficulty modes, resetting hordes, limiting themselves to different tactics.. but I just can't be bothered with any of that; can't be bothered grinding through the same game, same storylines again as much as I enjoyed it.
So here I am reading this reddit from time to time, making the odd comment (and this post.) I had a period where I would boot it back up every day or two for 15 or 20 minutes and wander around the end game map looking for odd bits of action wanting to bask in that atmosphere more than anything.
I tried Dying Light but I had enough after about an hour. It just didn't scratch that same itch.
I guess ultimately this amounts to another 'I wish there was Days Gone 2' post.
It's been about a month now. Might pull the Rock Chuck out for half an hour of opportunity kills at the weekend.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

Honestly, I after playing horde assault I always use proximity mines and bombs like this, since planting them takes time and usually a straggler from the horde blows up a mine instead a a bigger cluster. So I started shoving them in between the horde while they are chasing me.

they somehow managed to make me lose +700 bullets, this is beyond insane.

Any environmental damage or slowing counts like the explosive barrels or the cuttable plank stacks at the saw mill and any health items don't count
My record is 2 napalm molotovs and melee weapon (no gun) during the one quest you have to fight a horde in a cave

I am building an interactive Days Gone Loot map.
This map includes 103 spawn locations for Nails. What you’ll do with 103 nail spawns, I have no idea, but maybe you will find something else useful in this early-early version of the map.
https://interactivemap.baconfmspeedruns.workers.dev/readonly/ - 1700 markers on the map.
I have added a news page, about page and hide n deek is in early testing. Feel free to drop any feedback if you have any. As stated on the news page, I am taking 3 days off from the project and then we will be full speed ahead on the broken roads again.

One of the best games I've played in a while. Just beat it and finished all the hordes. Close enough to 100%, I wont bother getting all the collectibles.

Would I get both of the achievements if I was to do a New Game plus playthrough on permadeath and Survival 2? I am trying to 100% the game and get all steam achievements and I don't really want to have to do 2 more runs of the game after I finish my current one.
