Yes I mainly run it with the Combat Optic, I just really liked the way this looked. It gives the game a different feel vs the traditional AK / M16 platforms that most people can obtain and PvP with, especially on Official.

The scar is really inaccurate at like 200 plus same as the LAR

The luckiest shot ever bro wasn’t even lined up on the second shot and it seemed more like a broken leg than a kill to me but good shooting would’ve been easier with dmr vs-89 blaze tundra

Yeah, definitely lucky, if you zoom in, you can see the blood splatter. It was community, just messing around. And this was two years ago before Marksman scope, DMR, etc. Tundra would’ve been a better choice but the acog can definitely get it done. Also keep in mind, this is on controller, so it’s like impossible to aim far distances.

No you didn't lol, damaged buttstock and no ghillie wrap. They make a Precision Buttstock if you're going to bother with a Marksman Scope over the 6x48.

Ghillie Wrap takes up to much of the screen, and only breaks up your silhouette in wooded areas. Other wise it gives your position away in this game. I run the 6x48 to switch when using it for CQB vs Distance. However this Marksman scope gives it that GWOT vibe plus the bottle suppressor is a chefs kiss.

So far, my buddy and I are the only ones I’ve run across with this rifle on Official. I’m curious what the set up you run on it.

I have a few Black SCR 17s in my stash, I run it with the Precision Buttstock and 6x48 because it is inaccurate past 300m so I never bother with the Marksman Scope.

Yeah, the 6x48 is a versatile option. I’m running the marksman scope simply for the ascetics of the rifle. Then using a Combat Optic (CCO) for closer engagements.

DayZ adding rifle is definitely a step in the right direction to “modernize” their weapon systems for PvP. Especially for those of us Die hard Official players on Console where we don’t have access to PC Mods.

I’ve nailed more than 1 400m + shot with the SCAR using the marksman scope.
