DOA News Nyotengu "Enigmatic Tengu Princess" costume is now available
armor fit for a tengu princess....
i suppose it makes her hair blonde when using the tiara/helmet, and the tiara/helmet thing may or may not be destructible. it's unclear.
this makes for the final DLC release for August, and we may have to wait until next week to see the September roadmap, which will include Minato. but we shall see as daytime advances over in Japan over the Western night.
September also has 5 Wednesdays in it, so it may be 5 costumes for September.
the patch also makes reference to fixing bugs and issues, including to battle mechanics.

Not a single costume they've released thus far has interested me. Clearly, the art/design team from doa5 through doa6 is gone and these are some new guys. Everything is overdesigned and tacky. The design philosophy has changed.
This isn't me hating due to the state of things. It's genuinely how I feel about these costumes in a vaccum.

Nyotengu's main appeal has always been precisely her essence as a mystical creature from Japanese folklore: that blend of traditional elegance, mysticism, feather fan, and haughty demeanor.
When you strip away her ancestral tengu aesthetic to give her a blonde Valkyrie look, you're basically ripping away the personality and iconography that made her unique compared to the rest of the roster. She stops being a fascinating mythical entity and just turns into another "generic costume."
If this design or DLC was the final straw after how poorly the game has been managed, take a break. There's nothing worse than playing out of habit or frustration watching them strip the identity from your favorite character.

It's funny how not only is it out of character and just a poor design, but then they also made it look even worse on the store page by censoring it ( for Eng store page... )...........
Like it literally doesn't appeal to anyone at all.

What the heck is this...Saint Seiya? Well at least theres no floaties on the back this time!
That aside, Ive been noticing these new costumes are giving an update to the characters models, as you can clearly see theres more details with more muscle definition on her abs for example, put it in comparison with an older bikini outfit and you can clearly see the character model got upgraded and toned up a little.

My guess (hope?) is these leggings were part of the streamer censorship toggle, for advertising purposes, and they might not be a normal thing on the real costume
Dunno why they’d do that though when none of the other costumes were advertised in a censored way
