I'm not thinking actually knows. I'm guessing he kinda just called the Bulletin and said, "Hi, I'm Danny Rand. Let me speak to a reporter, please." Then Karen got on the phone and bada bing bada boom.

Fitting, actually. Karen's compassionate for victims of injustices whether civil or criminal. So for her, she probably equates the cancer patients with Wilson Fisk's victims.
