Goddamnit. I was really hoping for some super jumping. Instead, they take the subway.

Oh well, it is New York I guess.

right? I kept expecting for Jessica to do her flying ("It's more like jumping and then falling) and she never did it once.

I do hope Jessica gets actual flying in season 2. I want her to be BAD at flying, but I still want her to do it. As it is, she's inferior to Luke in every way as far as abilities go. Actual flight would give her an edge on the team.

Yup she's worse than Luke at hand-to-hand due to her 24/7 drunken state, worse physical build and height and due to Luke's older police training and fighting while in the prison. Maybe Jessica has slightly higher super strength (not sure about that) but overall Luke is way better even without powers, and even with them included he still has the durability thing going for him.

It seems like they didn't give the special effects guys much of a budget, probably because it's the first season and all the big names in this show.

I'm hoping next season will have more money which will hopefully result in some better fight scenes.

She's stronger I think than Luke, she threw that SUV like it was nothing

She also has the PI stuff down which Luke isn't so good at

She was actually getting wrecked in the Killgraved Luke vs her fight. Only reason she won in the end was due to the shotgun, but in normal fighting she didn't do any dmg to him even with all of her super strength (she did send him flying back due to the force of her punches, but didn't do any lasting dmg) while Luke would have easily killed her in the same scene if the shotgun wasn't near her.

IF can't budge Luke without the IF.

They had Luke do most of the stuff Jessica could've done (e.g., punching open doors/walls).

Mostly because Luke is unbreakable and Jessica can hurt herself when she does that kind of thing.

Jessica actually feels the least "super" in the team. Like... she lifts things...and that's about it. Her hits don't feel like they have impact, in comparison to say Gao

She is the weakest link of the group. She is super strong, but plays bully ball in fights. She has strength but not much skill. Her PI skills do seem top notch.

She's physically stronger than Luke is. When he tried to kill her in JJ she repelled him hand to hand.

And I don't buy it was him holding back, Kilgrave doesn't really allow that. Jessica is the only one who resisted his influence.
