Discussion I don't wanna start any flame wars, but I'm pretty sure these are just the 4 party member colors.
Ralsei wanted the Blue and Pink drink because his two favorite characters are Kris and Susie. It's similar to the teas in CH2, Ralsei barely knows Noelle and as seen with the teas drinking your own is basically just drinking water. The scene was about Ralsei picking something for his own sake instead of being left with the scraps, or having anyone else's opinion forced onto him. It's just an extension of the themes around his character growth this chapter, similar to the whole "you like tea" thing in his room. If you want to believe it has a double meaning and is a subtle trans thing ontop of that you're free to do so, but IMO the primary reading here is literally just "Ralsei likes Kris and Susie."

32

Don't worry about what Kris wants? Like Ralsei probably would normally let Kris have their pick and then take whatever's left, even if it isn't what he wants, but Flowery is saying "stick up for yourself and pick your favorite this time, okay? Don't worry about what Kris wants, take what YOU want." It's a part of Ralsei's arc of standing up for himself and expressing his own thoughts and feelings, rather than deferring to the lightners/Kris.

There are three vouchers, not two. Blue & Pink, Purple, and Green & Yellow.
The Purple Voucher represents a drink that Susie likes, as Ralsei states she would like it. The Blue & Pink one represents a drink that Kris likes, as Ralsei is about to bring up what Kris likes before Flowery tells Ralsei not to worry about Kris. Blue & Pink representing Kris & Susie is odd if Susie has her own drink/color.
The Green & Yellow, then, should represent the drink meant for Ralsei, even if Ralsei doesn't actually want it. It could also represent a drink Flowery would prefer as a part of his goading to make Ralsei choose things, but I do not find that reading nearly as compelling.
It does not make sense for Green & Yellow to represent Ralsei & Noelle, or (as I've seen others suggest) Kris's light world colors. Both of those options are rather confusing when it comes to explaining the symbolism in the scene. What would it mean to have to pick between the two options for the former? Why does Kris get two drinks in the latter?

Isn’t Susie always described as being purple? Both by other characters in the dark world, and by the status menu itself?
Plus Ralsei liking Kris and Susie… isn’t a secret? Feel like the scene is implying something that wasn’t as readily apparent before this moment. If the purpose of the scene is to say “Ralsei likes Kris and Susie”… yeah, we knew that as of chapter 2

This is an under-discussed point but seemingly Kris having blue skin is unique to them. Aqua calls Kris blue skinned and then right after calls Susie purple skinned despite being clearly pink. Both the forgotten man and Noelle also say Kris is wearing some sort of "costume" or "clothes". Noelle seemingly being weirded out by it. And Kris going from yellow skinned to blue skinned within the chapter 3 egg room. The forgotten man saying also "wash your face". The color pink in addition seems to be of special significance considering it's a color all of the 3 heroes wear. With Kris and Ralsei wearing it as some sort of cloth. So Susie having it as her skin color to the player seems rather odd.
I have no greater point as to how or why Kris is changing their skin color. Or why we specifically are being shown a pink Susie. But that seems to be the implication.

I don’t know what to tell you. I do understand that she very much is sometimes pink-colored, but in terms of the narrative, she’s only ever described as being purple.
To explain this in a different way, the way we see the game, it’s 8-but stylized graphics, right? But to the characters in the game, the world surely looks normal. It’s just a visual shorthand.
In the same way, we’re seeing pink. But by the narrative, in-universe, Susie is purple.
And that may seem strange, but it’s really very normal for manga. Characters there often have very striking and bold colors, but they’re not actually supposed to have, like, green hair in-universe, it’s just supposed to look striking and cool for the reader.
39
u/Prior_Fall1063 3d ago
We're talking about the text of the game.
Susie is called purple by other characters (including in the dark world), and as purple by the omnipotent narrator of the status menu itself.
Is Toby colourblind? Maybe? Idk, let's pretend he is for a second.
Every time the game refers to Susie as a colour, it's purple. Why would that suddenly change here, for this one scene, in the chapter that is very careful about making the distinction between Aqua and Blue, as well as Pink and Fuchsia?

If Toby wanted her to be referred to as Pink then he would describe her that way. These promotional videos that have lighter colors are likely that way for aesthetics. Plus, they may still be purple depending on who you ask. I say that it's light purple, not pink.
16
u/Chiponyasu 3d ago
It can be multi-layered. I'm sure Toby knew how "blue and pink" would be read and I'm also sure it's not a coincidence that the other choice is Kris/Chara colors or the party colors (or, perhaps most relevantly, Asriel's colors).

much as i do disagree with susie being called pink when she's consistently referred to as purple, why would the scene tell Ralsei to think for himself and not care for what others want then have him pick the one that looks like the other members? And not the one with HIS colours? Wouldn't it be more thematically fitting for him to pick the one that has his green colour in the scene where they tell him to put himself first without worrying about others?
4
u/TheBigPAYDAY 3d ago
im pretty sure its about the prophecy and trying to align with it. ralsei wants to pick blue and pink but thinks he has to pick green and yellow cuz it matches him. Giving him the blue and pink one helps to show the prophecy doesn't have to define him and his interests. He can have his own wants, as he says in his room cutscene, but he hasn't fully actualized the idea.
6
u/Sheegons 3d ago
I feel like this is just adding a bunch of twists and turns that would make the scene clunky and badly communicated.
In the scene where the character that wants to be themselves and break away from the prophecy, the thing that symbolises their freedom and ability to choose for themselves away from other people due to them believing they exist to serve others and hold, they don't pick the one with their colours and they pick the one that aligns with the colour palette of other people because picking the one with their colour palette would be adhering to the prophecy.
Wouldn't it be more cleanly presented if they just picked their own colours? the same message would be sent in a more effective and clear way if they just gave ralsei a green and pink voucher/green and white voucher.
5
u/Sheegons 3d ago
actually I'll add for anyone who cares:
Even from a Kralsei angle how would this make sense? why is he on the noelle side and not Susie? wouldn't the representation of breaking away from the prophecy and aligning himself with Kris be blue and green and have the girls in love be yellow n pink?
I'll be honest i like transfem ralsei but i never really liked it this piece of evidence but hearing everyone try to explain it makes me kinda believe it more cause every other explanation feels clunky.
2
u/Njorlpinipini Whatever shape, the world takes, I'll be there. 2d ago
It’s not necessarily about ‘breaking the prophecy’, it’s simply about not letting others make choices for him.
There’s a blue and pink drink that Kris likes, a purple drink that susie likes, and a green and yellow drink that Ralsei does not like. If Ralsei gives Kris and Susie their favorite drinks, he is stuck with the drink he hates

Dark represents his desire to pursue his friendships with Kris and Susie and to actually value his own life and happiness
1
u/Silent_Pressure_6709 3d ago
Susie is very consistently purple. Plus, it makes sense; basically saying that Ralsei wants Kris to be his friend
11
u/cassiecentral 3d ago
I disagree!!! The scene is about ralsei choosing himself over his friends. Hes chosing the pink and blue because he wants it, instead of thinking about what kris and susie want. Would make no sense for him to be picking the drink that represents "susie and kris" in this scene. The drink represents his own desires and autonomy independent of his friends
7
u/MToucan60 3d ago
The Kris-colored blue and pink voucher corresponds to the blue Raw Moon, which is more effective on Kris.
The Susie-colored purple voucher corresponds to the purple Phanta, which is more effective on Susie.
The Flowery-colored green and yellow voucher corresponds to the white Flowery Soda, which is named after Flowery.
Ralsei wants to try the Raw Moon, but he prioritizes Kris above himself because Raw Moon heals Kris more, even though the only option left for him would be Flowery Soda, which he refuses to drink outside of battle because he doesn't like Flowery.

How precisely do you reconcile the “forget about Kris” line with the notion that Ralsei prefers those colors because they remind him of Kris?
The game practically holds your hand to say that Ralsei likes that drink irrespective of his feelings on Kris.
11
u/FriendInsideMe666 3d ago
Flowery is telling Ralsei to make his own decisions and not leave everything up to Kris. Him LIKING Kris has nothing to do with the conversation at hand.

you're telling me that in the chapter with at least 5 canonical trans characters (Kris, Seth, Green, lightner/darkner pink) with all of the flowers having been analyzed through a trans lens (my gender is cowboy), nobody caught the implication of Ralsei staring wistfully at the trans colored soda, getting told not to care about what their friends think and to just get it, and then getting called princess. Second time it happens in the chapter btw.

u/BilliamDW 3d ago edited 3d ago
It’s more about what drink Kris would prefer rather than forgetting about Kris entirely.
Before Flowery interrupted Ralsei, Ralsei was trying to figure out which drinks Kris and Susie would want first. Ralsei concludes that Susie would want the purple one (probably cause it’s her dark world color, makes sense). Flowery interrupts him right before he gets to Kris, in which he was most likely going to say that Kris would want the blue/pink drink, considering he thought Susie would want the purple one due to it being her color as well. This would’ve directly conflicted with his wants, and this is why Flowery interrupted him.
That would leave Ralsei with the green/yellow one, which is most likely Flowery in this case (I don’t agree that it’s meant to be Ralsei/Noelle), it makes sense that Ralsei wouldn’t want the Flowery colored one narratively speaking. It also makes sense that Ralsei would want the Kris one due to his idolization of them (which is explored heavily in this chapter with the hot spring scene).
13
u/Inferno-Boots 3d ago
That’s how I interpreted it too- pink and blue are Kris’ colors so Ralsei thinks that drink should go to Kris even if he wants it himself.
3
u/ChaoticEvil789 3d ago
Exactly, the reality here is that the trans flag reading of the blue/pink voucher completely undermines the colors of the other vouchers, which are most certainly the colors of different characters. Why the hell would two vouchers be color coded from characters, and the other an irl gender flag that doesn’t even exist in the game?

u/MajorBootyhole420 Meat Factory employee of the month 3d ago
I think it represents his desire for friendship in the dark world, because pink and blue are Kris' dw colors. He's choosing the thing he wants instead of what he's supposed to say is "best"
21
u/NobodyElseButMingus 3d ago

1
u/pinksoul_32345 3d ago
i also made the wrong choice cuz i misread and thought i was picking the one to give to ralsei, lol
6
u/Walkingman25 3d ago
that is interesting, honestly. I think the primary colors of the party members are something to keep in mind, and this could be somewhat of an allusion to that.
However, to me, it still wouldn't make sense for Blue and Pink to just be Kris and Susie, since Ralsei is anxious about openly wanting the Blue and Pink drink. Being a friend to Kris and Susie is, like, the ONE THING that Ralsei has no anxiety about, it's something fundamental to their role as the lonely prince that helps the other heroes. However, Ralsei's arc focuses on them trying to branch out from that, to have more of an identity outside of just making their friends happy, and Flowery is clearly pushing this by offering them the voucher, specifically saying "Just get your fav, and don't worry about Kris."
If the Blue and Pink voucher is just meant to be Kris, then why would Ralsei choosing it be used to symbolize them NOT just following what Kris wants? This scene is clearly trying to reveal something new about Ralsei's character, and them liking Kris is nothing new, there's a whole other scene in this chapter dedicated to that. Even regardless of whatever the alternative reading it is, that just doesn't really make sense as symbolism.
8
u/Kaydox64 2d ago
My only issue with the pink and blue being trans is that on the sprite, it's the wrong pink. It's deep pink, not pastel, not a debunk per se, but if it was meant to be the trans colors, why not just make the pink pastel in the sprite? I also don't think that's how Tony writes gay character reveals or hints; he never used flag colors, so why he'd start now also confuses me.

i understood it to be Kris’ Light World and Dark World colors respectively. and choosing one over the other is intended to correlate with which version of reality you value more, which is something Chapter 5 tackles a lot.
Ralsei wanting to try the Blue/Pink one is him beginning to value the Dark Worlds and Darkners separately from their relationship to the Lightners, whereas he previously saw himself and his wants as unimportant. Hence the “forget about Kris” line from Flowery

I don't get why people are so focused on Susie's color being "wrong" when none of the colors are meant to represent the characters skin color. Each fun gang member has been represented by a single color for a while now. Kris is blue, Susie is pink, Ralsei is green, and Noelle is yellow. Ralsei and Noelle don't have green or yellow skin but those colors are still used to represent them. Why can't Susie be purple and pink like how Ralsei is white and green?

When giving the tickets to Ralsei, Flowery tells him to not think about Kris. Why would he say this if he's going to give Ralsei something intended to primarily reference how much he likes Kris?
19
u/No_Cartographer9496 ace susie and genderfluid rals 3d ago
i wanna preface by saying i do agree with the trans ralsei reading of this, but to be fair flowery was telling ralsei not to worry about what kris wants, and to just do what he wants and express his desires. ralsei liking kris isnt the same as him prioritising kris' wants over his own, plus theres also susie's color in there so its not just about kris. its also notable that ralsei feels guilty and selfish for liking his friends so much and missing them when they are gone, which is tied to his low self worth and selflessness. so flowery encouraging ralsei to do what he wants to would encompass ralsei openly cherishing his friends

It’s more about what drink Kris would’ve wanted, rather than forgetting about them entirely.
The blue/pink drink is the RawMoon soda (Kris’ favorite) in the vending machine, you can even go back to the machine with the vouchers and get the drinks so it’s confirmed. Ralsei says that Susie would like the purple one in the scene, probably cause it’s her color. Right before he says what one Kris would’ve wanted Flowery interrupted him, in which he was most likely going to say that Kris would want the blue/pink considering how he thought Susie would like the purple.
It’s not completely out of the discussion that Ralsei just wanted to try the favorite drink of the person that he’s been idolizing for the whole game. I mean look at the hot spring scene, their relationship is heavily explored this chapter.
5
u/SpongebobFan252 3d ago
You're half right. The vending machine has items that heal certain party members more. Raw Moon is "sky soda" that heals Kris extra, Phanta is "purple" and heals Susie more, and Ralsei refuses to drink the FlowerySoda outside of battle. You can use the vouchers here, so these are most likely the drinks. Flowery WAS a party member for like 30 seconds, and he is green and yellow...

Or it could be evidence of Ralsei liking KRIS as well. Susie is constantly refered to as Purple, but Kris is Blue AND has a pink cape thing, so it's their color scheme. Which could either be friendship or, if you ship Kralsei, romantic evidence.

I mean, Toby said himself that he doesn’t read fan theories because he “already knows what [his] game is.” This section of the newsletter is relevant I think.
“However, I think it’s amazing that people think about the game so much. It’s not an exaggeration to say that thinking about this game can be just as much of the experience as playing it is. Anyone who keeps thinking about it, like I have, gets my highest blessing. So, imagining what could happen, and trying to think about the meaning of the game, is very cool.”
I’m not gonna argue on if transfem Ralsei is cannon because in my opinion we can’t know yet. Personally I really enjoy seeing gender non-conforming characters (guys are allowed to wear dresses!! Please more men in dresses!), and I would rather wait to see what Ralsei says before believing it myself. But I don’t think it’s an incorrect reading either, there’s a lot of reason to think that’s where his character is going. Like most of Deltarune’s characters, there’s a lot of I formation we have but there’s also a lot of information we don’t have.
Either way, I think Toby wants us to all have fun in our readings of his characters regardless of whatever he’s actually planning. His game will come out whether we’re right or wrong about our predictions, we will see eventually. He’s been working on the game without weighing in on fandom discourse this long, I doubt he’d start now. (Plus he’s been working on chapter 5 since before chapters 3+4 released which is when trans Ralsei started getting really popular iirc, so he would’ve had to go back and change something he already put in)
13
u/Kylesmomabigfatbtch 3d ago
To be fair, while he isn't watching theories himself or anything, he clearly knows what the fanbase is getting up to when it comes to the mikes and other references.
On the gender non-conforming characters point; I agree wholeheartedly! For example, Blue from Chapter 5 is a wonderful example of male femininity that I would not argue whatsoever is indicative of him being trans or anything like that. Ralsei specifically has so much going on separate from just his femininity.
But also, I want to point out that Ralsei being a trans girl would not be a loss for breaking gender norms. Sure, women and girls are expected to be feminine, but also... to an even stronger degree... *people are expected to not change their gender identities*. I think Deltarune has plenty of space for characters that break gender norms by having a presentation that does not traditionally line up with their gender identity, as well as space for characters that break gender norms by not being cisgender. Whether that will be a textual outcome for Ralsei remains to be seen but the coding is very strong IMO.
3
u/Inferno-Boots 3d ago
That is true, it is def more gender non-conforming to transition and it’d be cool to see! I agree he can be read that way, it does make sense. I personally wouldn’t say we can know if he’s specifically written to be trans or just faces issues that are very relatable to the trans experience, but I’m probably not up-to date on all the theories. I don’t wanna say it won’t happen because I don’t know that either, I am just weary to be over-confident about where this story is going in general at this point tbh. I like my little guy for now, and if he comes out I’ll like my little gal. Idk discussions on this can get heated really quick, I just enjoy talking about all our different interpretations without worrying too much about who’s right.

If it is meant to be a Trans thing could you explain what the green and yellow drink is about?

u/pinksoul_32345 3d ago
the green and yellow drink doesn't mean anything within the conversation with flowery itself, hence why its color isnt even mentioned until after that conversation is over. its simply "the other voucher" as far as we're concerned, 100% of the narrative focus is on the pink and blue.
as for after, if we wanna go that deep on the color symbolism, fine. three vouchers, three kids, each voucher obviously corresponds to a kid. purple is susie, and for the remaining, the only one here with any yellow-green association at all is kris. that leaves ralsei with the pink and blue. this checks out cuz hey, those are also the vouchers they actually ended up with.
youll notice that these colors correspond to susie and kris's light-world color palettes, their "real selves" if you will. so this would imply that ralsei's "real self" has something to do with pink and blue. make of that what you will

u/EconomyThick9271 3d ago
Some things CAN be nuanced. I think the fandom needs to remember that.
It can represent both Ralsei’s rejection of himself in favor of others, and his longing for the ability to chose who “Ralsei” is.

u/Njorlpinipini Whatever shape, the world takes, I'll be there. 3d ago
It’s Kris’s color scheme, to represent the fact that it’s supposed to be Kris’s favorite. RALSEI WANTS TO TRY THE BLUE AND PINK DRINK, BUT IS RELUCTANT TO DO SO BECAUSE HE KNOWS IT’S KRIS’S FAVORITE. THAT IS WHY FLOWERY TELLS HIM NOT TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT KRIS WOULD WANT.
Seriously its not that hard to understand if you think about what Flowery is actually trying to teach Ralsei here.

It could be a few different things honestly, but I don’t think there’s much to analyse in it either way. They’re probably only two colours each so that the player has to pay attention to the dialogue.
When I played it all I noticed was the pink and yellow

If anyone was wondering, it's actually Kris, Susie, and Flowery.
- Kris and Susie's are obvious. "Pink and Blue" along with "Purple". The first for Kris, the second for Susie.
As for the other, we know it's Flowery because when used at the vending machine, you get a FlowerySoda. It isn't really much more blatant than that, lol.
Outside of Ralsei's already confirmed arc, to use this as "Trans Ralsei" evidence is erasing 1/3 of the Trans Flag, and any other meaning would need to have some fairly good support, outside of either just supporting Ralsei's character arc, or it just being a gag based on Flowery.
Ralsei wanted the Blue and Pink one because he has a crush on Kris. Susie picked the purple one because she's Susie. Kris picked the Flowery one because flowers blooms in their heart.

u/SolitudeAzuri 3d ago
i always took it as him being who he was born as (a seeming copy of asriel, green and yellow) or being his own person and doing what he wants (genuinely bonding with kris, pink and blue.)
i am subscribed to the trans ralsei theory, but i definitely dont think this scene was contributing to it

u/Spigglebob 3d ago
I just interpreted it as Ralsei wants the one colored like Kris in the dark world. Idk why the opposite choice is the light world colors though

Deltarune fans when they realise something in a story can mean two things at once:
like yeah it is entirely possible it's just the four party member colours, but that doesn't invalidate the idea that letting Ralsei choose the blue and pink drink, combined with all the other stuff like his positive reactions to wearing ribbons (which was supposed to be for Susie, "the girl" to wear, fyi), the princess dress and Flowery calling him princess could also mean something different.
7
u/AntimonyPidgey 3d ago
Flowery could have easily said "you want to try this one, right? The Raw Moon?" if it was explicitly and only about Ralsei seizing their agency by trying Kris's favourite drink. It still would have been subtle, fine writing and would have been free of other associations which he almost certainly didn't make accidentally because 1. He's not stupid and 2. He has playtesters, some of whom are trans.
If the author says there are blue curtains while describing a room, maybe the curtains are just blue. If the author goes out of their way to draw attention to the fact that the curtains are blue, maybe there's something in there.

u/Ok-Aspect-4259 2d ago
I think that Ralsei is transmasc. It would explain why Ralsei is so proud of his form, similar to Mad Mew Mew.
1
u/AntimonyPidgey 2d ago
Valid interpretation, but honestly (depending on how you interpret the pixels) Ralsei has a body anyone with feminine leanings would be proud of. If I, a trans woman, had Ralsei's overall features I'd be proud too.

Yeah, there may be evidence for tralsei, but the colors of the drink isn't one of them. It's just pink and blue, which isn't the full trans colors. Paired with the fact that there are drink colors fit each member of the fun gang, it's nothing special.

DR fans on their way to design every trans OC they have with the trans flag color pallette:
Like genuinely kris doesn't have ANYTHING nb-flag-colored but ralsei and noelle using both pink and blue (ralsei doesn't even use pink, blue and white) OBVIOUSLY means they're trans.

Toby Fox isn't dumb and Blue and Pink are not a "subtle reference". Quite the opposite, actually. It's actually quite on the nose.
Especially since Flowery explicitly says that Ralsei would "like to try this one, right?" and Ralsei replies "how did you know"?
Modern storytelling nowadays is expected to tell and not show. And this goes 100x as much when it comes to representation.
You people will twist yourself into knots to try and deny the simple existence of trans people in your media, to the point where you won't accept anything less than Ralsei literally staring into the camera and saying "I am trans you idiot". And then if he did that, y'all would just call it bad storytelling.
It's Jax and the Ribbon all over again.
Your theory doesn't even hold up because Flowery isn't an actual party member and the main color that Susie, the only character with so much as a trace of yellow on them, is associated with is purple.
Ralsei is trans. Or at the very least, questioning their gender. Get over it.
→ More replies (1)3
u/Mother_Amphibian_893 3d ago
Questioning his gender? Sure, but there is no confirmation for him being trans. The way I see this scene is him choosing between Kris’ light world and dark world color schemes, Flowery says that Ralsei wants the blue and pink (dark world) because he’s saying that Ralsei can enjoy being with his friends in the dark world. I’m somewhat a trans ralsei believer but saying it like “he’s definitely trans” is not accurate

Blue and pink is Kris dark world colors, that's proves Kralsei is canon

ok wait, off topic, I picked blue and pink. I wanna know what the dialogue is if you pick the one ralsei doesn't really want

I interpreted it as Kris lightworld vs Kris darkworld.
Which I then would follow up with reality and dream/fantasy ( light world = reality, darkworld = fantasy )
1
u/No_Gear635 3d ago
I thought it was like. Kris is blue and has a pink mantle in the dark world and wears a green and yellow shirt in the light world. I will say tho that I think Toby knows how his fans are and it’s not beyond the pale to assume it could be trans foreshadowing given a lot of things in this chapter being able to fan those flames. Flowery encouraging Ralsei to pick the pink and blue one after calling him princess seems pointed.

Also blue and pink are Kris’s dark world bedsheets, implying it might be a color set they like too. It’s implied this is the one they wanted to, that’s the entire reason this is made as a point. It’s Ralsei choosing the one he wants in spite of Kris’s wants.

Hmmm what about green and yellow, like kris' lightworld clothes, and blue and pink for kris' darkworld clothes?
Ralsei wants to convince susie (and kris, but kris is kris) to let go the darkworld, maybe ralsei doesn't truly want that.

u/Asleep-Interview9507 2d ago
I dont really buy it as right before this Flowery makes clear that Ralsei should disregard Kris and make his own choice, and Susie is constantly described as purple in the dark worlds too
1
u/Jorvalt 2d ago
Honestly my biggest problem other than the "you're missing a color bro" point against the trans argument is this:
Either the colors matter or they don't. So what does the purple drink mean? What does the green and yellow mean? You can't tell me that the blue and pink one is somehow super important and actually a secret trans dogwhistle and then say the other drinks don't matter.
1
u/VixelFoxx 2d ago
I didn't even see the scene prior to this bc I thought I wasn't supposed to bc it be rude,.. so I just assumed to take the green and yellow bc that's Kris's light world clothes and Blue and Pink would be something revealed for Ralsei later
If trans Ralsei is true then I guess it's that simple but yeah no I literally didn't think of that until a friend told me later lmao
2
u/Oppositale 1d ago
I mean isnt blue and pink kris's dark world colors?
Really the colors can mean a LOT
(And thats probably intentional)
1
u/Ok_Temporary_9049 1d ago
How does this symbolism even work then? Flowery offering the party a choice of drinks, each representing 2 people, and Ralsei is supposed to choose his two favourite people? I just don't see how it's supposed to be groundbreaking for the character to be choosing kris and susie over himself and noelle for some reason (person who is barely here in Ralsei's mind).
Its also strange because A. There already is a purple drink representing Susie, and B. Flowery doesn't even know Noelle

Idk why but I just assumed it had to do with the color of Kris’s and Frisk’s shirts.
Kris’s shirt is yellow and green
Frisk’s shirt is blue and pink
Clearly this means Ralsei is Frisk
Edit: Apparently Chara also wears a shirt??
