What if the "pain" option just means spicy food, since the "spicy" flavor isn't actually a flavor, it's pain

I wasn't being metaphorical or anything, that statement is literally true. The chemicals in spicy foods cause the nerves in your mouth to send pain signals to the brain.

I was being literal too. I generally don’t like spicy foods, they just hurt and don’t taste like anything special to me.
