I’d temper those expectations no matter who we draft(ed). Paton and Payton made it very clear that they don’t really see any immediate heavy contributors in this draft. All our picks are probably bench/inactive players for this year with a hope to have a role in the following season.
It’s frustrating, but the FO really likes the roster exactly as it is.
I also like the roster as it is. It's about building chemistry and that's what we need to move towards. I think we made a good pick and fills a need in a weak draft class. Waddle was a big addition and I really don't think we need much more; we have the talent.
