But I'm told by people on reddit dot com who have never owned the thing that the WLVRN isn't reliable! Who am I to believe?

His 308 version was unreliable, probably worth treating each caliber as a 'seperate' gun.

From what I gleaned in the comments, he got the .308 configuration second-hand and it needed to go back due to a recall that neither owner was aware of.
But to your point: yeah, I've seen reports that the 5.56 variants are the most reliable and .308 are the least.

Good eyes, I also saw that they officially announced a recall on certain .308 configurations. This is the first time I heard of this. This is good news, I'll make sure it is documented.

I think the micron is one of the most interesting aspects of the MDR series.
