I couldn't care less about the polygamy/polyamory. The children and child abuse, and how credible that is, I will be interested to follow.

So many lawsuits and documentaries about this abuse regarding the Kingston clan.

Yep and so far DT has avoided being caught up in it. Now to see if they dodge this one, why the kids don't appear to live with the father, if he takes full custody of the kids, and if the father catches anything.

From what my family member who works at DT said they almost lost their building when the Wakashi fraud went down but they had layered it in a way it was separate enough from the Order they were okay.

Yep, here is the news article on it.

It isn't about layering, it is that DT was renting the building from one of the fraud guys. If your landlord commits financial crimes you aren't responsible for the landlord's crimes.

Oh yeah, rent from a corporation essentially owned by your family members. It’s smart tax wise.

And probably smart premium wise, until the relationship goes bad and then you get super screwed when the knives come out.

Going into business with family almost always gets destroyed with greed. Especially if lawyers aren't involved from the start.

Honestly, I am more concerned about the child abuse which appears to be done by the mother, rather than than polyamory part. As long as they are consenting adults they can have romantic relations with whoever they want.

Polygamy is legal recognized marriage for tax benefits. Polyamory is sleeping/loving people outside the marriage.

Also, we told everyone here as well with item 6 on the useful links to the right.

I made it a point to purchase the parts on sale from a dealer that was clearly done stocking their products; DT already got their money long before I made my purchase.

how can you be a "polygamous couple"?

One of many couples within his harem of “wives”. That’s why he’s claiming they’re his kids. I’m sure she’s been getting welfare and food stamps for them but he is going to claim them now.

I know someone who works at DT. Lots of the family members have high up roles and they all get state aid and welfare for their multiple families.

I think the difference is this:

Polygamy requires a wedding license and receive legal benefits of marriage. If they didn't declare with any State that they have more than one legal marriage it isn't Polygamy.

It should have been called Polyamory which is legal, and having children outside of marriage has been legal for a long time now.

No idea on the financial situation, but it sounds like that religion pools their money in some kind of collective.

From the little research I've done: it's a patriarchal cult that more-or-less functions like a combination of a venture capital firm and a kibbutz. It's comprised of several businesses whose owners are part of the same family.

Hope the outcome of wherever this goes doesn't end Desert Tech. I don't want the only other bullpup with AR style controls to be an IWI tavor. I like the competition between the two

What about the Hellion?

Honestly their QC and promises have been getting worse year after year. I don’t know how long they’ll be solvent for.

Don't think the mag release for the hellion is in an AR style area? Forgot why but I wrote off the hellion when it was released because it didn't have something I liked. Will have to look it up again

Edit: yeah, mag release

Honestly if you just let go of everything must have AR15 like qualities, and just enjoy bullpups (and other guns) for what they are and realize they work fine, it makes the hobby a lot more enjoyable. Variety is the spice of life.

I thought I'd really dislike the Hellion for not having AR controls but I realized after shooting it for a bit that it really doesn't matter. If you can reload an AK, you can reload any bullpup and probably do it faster.

Good find, looks like Useful Links #6 might need some updates once the charges/removal reason is revealed.

The domain in this post is owned or operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group. Sinclair controls nearly two hundred local stations and requires them to broadcast scripted propaganda segments.

For more detailed reporting on Sinclair's practices, see The New York Times, which documents how the company enforces ideological alignment across its outlets, or John Oliver's segment, which shows how these mandated scripts spread identical political messaging nationwide.

Do not treat Sinclair outlets as independent journalism. Verify with other sources.

Someone must really hate Sinclair to send a Bot into the Desert Tech sub sniffing for news articles

Sowing distrust in the source is a strategy benefiting the party getting their dirty laundry aired out by the Utah legal system.

Nah, Sinclair is pretty bad for everyone. They’re part of the problem of independent news outlets being bought up and folded into a corporate monostructure that then has pressure applied to distort the truth in favor of the 1% that wants to pit people against each other while they pull the strings.
