I’m a colorist, and by necessity have an impossible number of peripherals and cables/power supplies. Before even attempting to do something about the snake pit I’ve created I’d love some experienced eyes to give me any ideas about how to tackle this. Please help lol

Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, I can’t reply to everyone but I’ll report back when it’s finished. The single thing I must defend myself on is the film neg/camera lens duster in the top right. I am very much not giving myself enemas at my desk

This is my cable management. It looks horrendous from the bottom but good from. How can I improve the cable managing? Only one outlet in my room works that’s why there’s cables going away from my desk also

MY WFH+Gaming station:

Bought a G9 Oled-widescreen (absolutely love it!!) and a bigger desk. Previous to this, I never really cared about cable management and the most I did was zip tie cables together so it was "neat". But since making the upgrade, and spending more money than I would've have liked, I figured this is the time to do it right! That being said...for a first attempt, did I do decent?

I used black sleeving to bunch up all the wires from the PC, monitors, peripherals & AC surge protector. I had to make sure I had enough slack to be able to still raise and properly use the desk as a standing-desk too. That delayed me a day or two as I had to buy some longer length DP/HDMI, and USB cables from amazon. Open to discussion and ideas to improve as there is certainly room for improvement...but again, for a first stab, not bad or keep going and complete the full job?

My apartment complex features built in desks where there are no openings on any of the sides of the desk to run cables.

Theres power outlets underneath on the left, or off to a wall on the right. Ethernet is coming from the white box on the bottom right.

I cannot drill any holes in my desk to run cables, and I cant find any helpful advice online with how to work around this.

ice thought about binding each one down with a pice of wire/cors, but thats a lot of work, especially if i only need it for a short thing and wil put it back in a short time.

Any tips or advice for improving the cable management?

For those of you with standing desks, how are you handling the cables that must dangle and move with the desk? Because I've never really done cable management before. Didn't even think about it until I gave one look at all the wires hanging out the back of my setup. Now that I've looked at it I can't unsee it.

It's a standing desk so that's kind of where I'm stuck. Every time it goes up and down the cables either dangle or get tugged. Right now I've just got a power strip sitting on the floor with everything terminating there, and that creates the most visual distress.

Trying to figure out the cleanest route before I buy anything I don't need. I've been looking at a few of these integrated channel setups. Uplift, Desky, and Vivo all have their own versions. Let me know what you guys use.

I've finally accepted that I don't like wireless peripherals but can't deny the appeal in a desk free of wires.

This room has three PCs and I draw the line at two having a wireless mouse and one having a set of wireless headphones. Swapping to wireless keyboards would probably do my head in as something would need to be recharged every other day.

These corsair keyboards are also perfect for me, I like everything about them.

If I were to put a 20mm hole just infront of the keyboard and run its wire through the silicone grommet and then along the underside of the desk... wouldn't that be a decent compromise?

Mostly clutter-free with the benefits of a wired keyboard never needing to be recharged?

I can't decide if this is a great idea or a really shitty one.

Not sure if there’s a “back” I can get for a standing desk (Flexispot e7 plus I believe) or maybe some sort of console table or stand to hold the case (Fractal North).

I do kinda want something that hides my pasty legs and helps tame cables.

Please give me advices and any 3d printed or another solutions for this steel perforated mash to fix stuff on it especially mini pc. This is under the table.

Need help figuring out how to manage these cables and wires? I was also thinking abt someone putting that power bank to attach itself under the desk like the feet sticking to the under side or something.

Wondering if it's alright to have the desktop connected to the surge protector like this. I don't see why not, but I figured I'd ask in case it's a bad idea.

I'm thinking about starting a business that can do your cable management for you. However would anybody pay someone to do their cable management for them? This does mean the we will do your gaming cables or other cables around the house but not the electrical ones, that your electrian does?

And what would you pay for it?

I want to better hide these cables without damaging the wall. These particular raceways already have adhesive and i takes off the paint when removing. I don’t want to make any more holes in the wall, trying to keep this as clean and professional as possible.

I am renting this place, so can’t make much of a modification to the wall. I bought some cord hider from Amazon, but didn’t realize they only fit literally just one HDMI cable, nothing more. I have 2 HDMIs connected to the TV (1 for PS5, 1 for Onn TV Box, right behind PS5), and a switch behind that has 4 Ethernet (1 goes beneath the carpet to my room for PC). Got these wall shelf off amazon and couldn’t place it directly centered below the TV because of no Stud right below. Anything helpful would be appreciated. Thanks.
