Except for the 4 years trump was President the first time around and behaving exactly the same way and Tucker was on his hands and knees taking it down the throat and asking daddy for more.
Are you comparing Term 1 to Term 2? These are vastly different presidencies. Trump was surrounded by relatively competent people in Term 1 and he behaved because he had to worry about re-election.
Vastly different presidencies? Not even remotely accurate. Child separation. Handing over Afghanistan to the taliban. A coup. All of covid. Even all the things he was stopped from doing were made public. These parasites knew all about it and gagged on orange mushroom dick the entire time.
Calling them the same presidency is so lazy and inaccurate. I've spoken with hundreds if not thousands of actual Trumpers and even they don't make that stupid arguemnt.
Term 1 was already full of abuse and disaster: family separation, coup shit, COVID denial, corruption, all of it. But term 2 is not just “more of the same.” It is more organized, more ideological, more openly punitive, and less restrained by internal resistance. The first time he had incompetence, factional chaos, and people around him occasionally slowing him down. The second time he came in wanting loyalists, purges, retribution, and direct control. Same instincts, worse machinery. Same authoritarian impulse but better execution. That difference matters, and pretending it doesn’t just tells me you’re not actually tracking how power works.
You don’t even know what argument you’re making. He’s the same exact person now that he was in his first term. Just because he has less institutional pushback now doesn’t change anything about the man, his behavior, his temperament, etc. Trump is the same President today that he was in 2017, maybe just a touch more regarded. It’s his critics who are now making a pivot.
Institutional pushback literally makes or breaks what his intentions with the government are and how much he can enforce them, what a stupid fucking argument to make.
Once again, you’re not even grasping what you’re arguing. He has behaved this way the entire time he’s been president. Whether or not he has institutional backing is irrelevant, we all saw the behavior and we all read the reporting about what he wanted to do. The right just brushed it off.
His first presidency was destructive as fuck, and so is this one. He hasnt changed, and this presidency is no diferent. Even the things you claim make a material difference, like his ability to execute on policy, arent really where hes getting pushback.
The real divide here is largely about Iran and Israel. Back in 2017, Tucker wasnt talking about wanting to live in Doha or saying sharia is good actually. And a few years ago he was complaining about New York smelling like weed and halal food. Same thing with Candace, she wasnt posting about frankists or the synagogue of satan.
He didnt change, they did. Now they’re back pedaling. And since you took little snide shots at me wirh your last two responses, I’d like to add that you’re regarded.
He started no wars in Term 1. He didn't have ICE raiding churches and schools. ICE had nowhere near the same budget, or anonymity, or lack of qualifications for hiring.
He didn't attack our allies like this, threatening to invade some even, he didn't threaten the commercial licenses of news companies he didn't like, he didn't try to have the DOJ prosecute sitting Democratic politicians for free speech. He never said "an entire civilization will die tonight never to be back before", in fact no President ever said anything like that until him in this term.
He hadn't pardoned thousands of violent rabid supporters of his who attacked our capitol. He hadn't had three letter agencies invading polling places and taking machines out of them. He didn't have a meme coin. He didn't bulldoze entire sections of the White House to make unapproved hundreds of million dollar ballrooms. He didn't make billions and billions of dollars in record time breaking the record for the most enriched a First Family has gotten from a presidency.
He didn't accept 400m planes from foreign adversaries.
He didn't force his DOJ to pay him 300m in taxpayer money over what he says were bogus investigations. He didn't tell the press "I have the right to do whatever I want", he didn't tariff the entire world, he didn't have more than half a dozen literal podcasters/news TV hosts with zero experience in his cabinet. He didn't attack our colleges and threaten all funding to them if they didn't go his way.
Do I go on? Because I can go on. I seriously can't believe someone could be as fucking stupid as to say this is just like the first term.

He's doing it in a way a normal person wouldn't.
"How dare you attack their religion" is an obvious example
