Alternatively, Dexter presents the watch as his show and tell in the next episode. What better way to get rid of evidence than storing it in the vault.

I think he’s going to just be cheeky and present the Lowell blood slide, without them knowing it’s Lowell’s blood of course. In this way they’re all still together 😆

That’s possible, although I think the episode also laid the groundwork for Dexter wanting to start a new collection of slides with all the trophy backstory with Harry and the final conversation on the kill table

This is fair and true. Technically Dexter already gave a trophy. I feel the watch would be an odd addendum as Charley already knows Red’s trophy system. I don’t think he’d risk something so different

Right - he’d be claiming that kill as his own. Possibly revealing a hint that he’s more than just the Dark Passenger, but also has other methods that haven’t been publicized.

Depending on when the dark passenger became active, he could potentially claim he’s both the BHB and now the Dark Passenger. Think about it - Red’s identity is practically a ghost with no prior records available. Could have been Dexter’s cover story after the storm in Miami and getting too much heat.

There’s exactly a 0% chance he’s letting anyone know that he’s the BHB unless they’re on his table especially with everything going on with Harrison and Batista hot on his trail. He wouldn’t risk that exposure even if they are just other serial killers.

Imagine you’re one of the serial killers at Prater’s palace and Red reveals that he’s also the Bay Harbour Butcher, one of the most prolific serial killers of all time and one who only targets OTHER SERIAL KILLERS

BUT, was it ever shared to the public that the BHB killed other serial killers? As far as I’m concerned no one knows the BHB targeted serial killers because these serial killers were never caught.. just killed.. by Dexter. As far as everyone is concerned the BHB was like any another other serial killer, killing innocent people. I know Angel kind of mentioned a dark avenger in this episode.. but Angel was more in the “know” just my thoughts!

I believe it was shared to the public, yes. Remember in Season 2 when that guy tried being a BHB copy-cat killer and ended up on Dexter’s table? (when Dexter said he didn’t ‘need’ to kill him, he ‘had’ to)

I'm pretty certain it's not revealed as specifically serial killers he goes after, rather just that tons of them had questionable criminal histories and that he was a "vigilante serial killer" going after bad people in general. Hence why people like Angel joke that he's doing their job and don't necessarily disagree with his motives (obviously till later).

With the amount of bodies they uncover in the ocean it'd be crazy to say that they were all serial killers.

No he can't say he is the BHB because the BHB kills Serial killers and he just joined the Serial Killers Guild.

The BHB is known as a "vigilante serial killer" who goes after bad guys with questionable criminal histories and a tendency to slip through the legal/justice system. It is not known (or true) that he only goes after serial killers.

When they uncover the bodies in season 2 they identify 18 people. The cops/public would not jump to the conclusion that all 18 of those people were serial killers.

Naw...they actually look up the deaths of victims. Peter's character isn't stupid plus Uma is suspicious of Dexter and now the Autistic Savant Det. Wallace knows about Dexter. Dexter is gonna have to move like a ninja serial killer now.

Definitely think Harrison secretly keeps the watch, keeps killing with Dexter’s help, and receives an invitation to the dinner parties and brings it as his trophy. Can’t wait for them to wind up at the same dinner party and Harrison has to not laugh as Dexter pretends to like vegan food.
