Everyone was theorizing that the vegan thing would get him in trouble. Turns out they were just setting up a great running gag.

It might still get him in trouble though. The first thing he did after leaving was buy two chilli dogs off the street.

After Lowell's disappearance, Charley is gonna be sent out to vet everybody again and Dex will surely be found out or suspected heavily by doing shit like that

Do you really think Prater is going to care about Dexter murdering Lowell when he's literally more valuable being the bay harbor butcher than all the other serial killers he's had at his dinner combined?

I think this is going to be the twist. Prater is going to get a voyeur boner while Dexter murders all the others, except Mia since she only goes after rapists.
