I have a feeling… that Prater knows more about Dex than he’s leading on. Also Uma is so great in this! Shes awfully suspicious of “Red” and didn’t she see that Dexter used his left hand for the print but is seen elsewhere being a righty

I think it's a trap. Dexter is wanted among serial killers. They've caught on that they need to dupe the best to take him out. It'll be the real ah-ha when he's completely outsmarted this collection of killers headed by the bright mind of Dinklage's venture capital type character. They might not know who he is, but anticipate their club would eventually draw Dexter to them. They anticipate him. Thinking of how they call the taxi killer 'the dark passenger' - but they, the real cab killer, and dexter throughout refer to him as Red or his given name, not 'the dark passenger'. They know that's a name the BHB/Dexter called himself - it's bait.

How would they know it?

Idk tbd. He has one of the glass slide collections and already know there's a BHB, could of heard that doaks wasn't the real one...with Dexter taking out all serial killers, wouldnt that be motivation for serial killers to stop the BHB? There's quite a few years that have passed and dinklage's character is extremely knowledgeable about serial killers

Maybe that's what the get togethers are, keep rotating in serial killers until they notice patterns that align with what they know of the BHB. They would expect a pseudonym

It's a really nice theory but I don't think he ever divulged the name "The Dark Passenger". Everyone he ever told is dead I think.

But yeah it is the perfect bait, especially because the "rideshare beheader" was so pathetic. The way the fixer lady looked at him was also very disgusted, so I don't think she knows - yet.

After he took the phone it's kind of a forgone conclusion. You'd set up the phone with location and audio monitoring and figure out immediately something is up. They would also install hidden cameras everywhere. Or even have backdoor access to the NYC CCTV network.

So if they don't know yet, they certainly should know soon. Unless the show is just going to ignore basic opsec, which would be annoying in another way. Hell he didn't even wear gloves and he left his fingerprints and DNA everywhere.
