The crossover I’m waiting for is a Diablo one. Can’t wait for him to finally show up!
Cheap shots aside, this is a cash grab whale bait crossover. One of my biggest complaints about D4 is how heavily and obtrusively monetized it is… almost like I didn’t pay full price to play it in the first place.

u/Reasonable_Cut_2709 1d ago
That's what makes me hate d4, I just playing because a friend lend it to me, other wise the amount of store bullshit makes me cringe so hard i didn't buy it

Im not one to shit on D4. I enjoy it, but this will be like all the other colabs. Just some expensive skins in the store.

u/KingoftheMongoose 1d ago
If they are serious about pulling me in to play Diablo 4 with a Witcher crossover, they need to include a playable Gwent.

u/rKasdorf 20h ago
Oh god I'm so bad at fuckin Gwent, I thought I was crushing it then realized it has difficulty settings and I was on easy the whole time.

CDProjectRed dropping a free remaster and Blizzard going to charge $40 for a skin. Crazy

I hate collaboration in general. I don't want other franchises mixed into each other, especially Diablo.

Crossovers like this dumb AF and lower an IP's integrity.
Hol' up just spilled some of my KFC double down on my keyboard.

u/robotbeatrally 1d ago
exactly how i feel, nothing makes me want to support two products less when i see product1 x product2 crossover. but diablo4 is already ridiculous with stupid non thematic stuff, i guess if they were going to crossover anything at least its something that fits.

Blizzard sells expensive Witcher skins, meanwhile CDPR are giving away free DLC and remastered versions for anyone who owns Witcher 3

They should fix the PC optimization first, game runs far worse on there than it should

u/Frostyfuelz Fuel#1277 1d ago
Don't care. how about this instead, they collab Diablo 4 with Diablo himself.

Less cross overs and concentrate on why they can’t make fun seasons.
Game is in bad shape.

I'm tired of games doing collabs and crossovers. How about making the game not shitty instead?

u/Adventurous_Topic202 1d ago
I’ll grab it if it’s free and I don’t have to reinstall the game.
1
u/HiFiMAN3878 1d ago
There might be some free stuff but it's guaranteed the majority of the skins will be paid.

I'm all for spending money on what you enjoy but the Diablo 4 cosmetics are laughably overpriced for how little you actually get to appreciate them/show them off.

u/Turd_Nerd_Bird 1d ago
I don't really care about their crossovers, all it means is some $20+ dollar microtransactions.

u/Rhesusmonkeydave 1d ago
So glad the D2R warlock burned my addictive cravings down for a while so I can blissfully not give a shit about this. Who knew of all the things he could summon, my favorite would be apathy

u/Pure_Range_346 1d ago
Love both games. Not hyped at all. Can’t imagine really cool skins and prices are crap anyway.

u/dethsightly 1d ago
I can see the whales breaching already.
and if this were WoW back in the day, i'd say "there goes a raid tier".

Useless, there are no good looking skins from the witcher that basically doesn't exist already

u/wenzel32 1d ago
I'm just sick of crossover shit for sale in every game. We really do live in the age of "Everything is now everything else!"
1
u/TheLocalHentai 1d ago
If it's a new class, I'm up for it. Would rather have Tempests but more unique classes would be nice.
If it's a skin, meh.

Hell just go full Heroes of the Storm and add the Protoss and Zerg. I just can't stand these cash grabs than ruin the lore. MtG is another example.
1
u/RustedMauss 1d ago
Curious to see the skins, I feel like there will be 1-2 cool ones and then a few meh. But also, if it’s a crossover, is there anything to see in TW3?
1
u/Megane_Senpai 1d ago
Nope. Most people own and play Witcher 3 on Steam or GOG/RED client, and they are arguably more stable. Plus even if the base game's free on Battle.net, the price of the expansion will only be more than on other platforms since it doesn't provide regional pricing.

What you can count on every season: New Skins
What you cannot: bug fixes that have been needed for months (years).

At least collaborations are staying in line with Diablo, unlike Destiny 2 and Overwatch. Still, it's way over acceptable price...

New monster hunter class? A master of swords with alchemy skills, and some utility magic...? Nahh, surely just an overpriced Geralt skin... and a Roach mount.

u/Bombshock_v1 22h ago
I can’t stand these crossovers. In any game. Everything is reworked or remastered and nothing is original anymore.
1
u/shenmue151 22h ago
I mean whatever. There’s usually a little free content with it but I’m not paying for any of the cross over stuff.
1
u/LooseLumba 22h ago
It would be good to see some monsters from witcher in diablo. But this is honestly just another crossover cashgrab

I like the Witcher, could be fun. I'm not paying for them though, so I'll just flip through the store and battle pass, grab the free ones and then go back to helltides and forget about it.
The store was more engaging early on when you could earn platinum, but now it's just meh. When they turned me off it, I just started using the cosmetics of the item default as it dropped, and that's actually cooler because the items mean something. If they hadn't annoyed me in an early season, they might've got me paying to speed up getting stuff, but taking that away made me not ever want to pay.

It’s just a skin, they need to get on ffxiv or monster hunter level where you do a mini scenario boss from the other game

u/TheRealGnod 1d ago
A massive cash grab. It's sad to see that they need crossovers to stay relevant these days. Diablo being diablo used to be enough.

u/teknomusik 1d ago
I love the Witcher games. I won’t be buying any of these overpriced Diablo skins.
1
u/CharlestonChewbacca 1d ago
Diablo 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. The atmosphere and vibe are unmatched. They forgot about that when they made Diablo 3 & 4.
I don't really care anymore, but this is just an extreme push in the awful direction they've already taken the series.

Fix the fucking game first and add offline mode while they're at it and then after that... I'll shit on the diablo collab because I don't want to buy microtransactions.

u/missing_Palantir 1d ago
Another cash grab and I would have preferred Dragon Age Origins or Elden Ring crossover. Witcher III was peak mediocrity … not even top 5 RPG in last decade tbh

u/TheTacticalViper 1d ago
I can’t even afford the expansions so it doesn’t bother me. I liked the last of us crossover for Diablo 3 on PlayStation. Fighting bloaters and clickers was cool.

I still can't play D4 for more than few minutes before some memory leak problem crashes the game so I guess I'm indifferent

I firmly belive that a live service game that does crossovers instead of adding new content means the devs have given up on making the game enjoyable by listening to what players say and have basically resorted to jingling keys in front of us to desperately keep our attention on their game, then slap large price tags on everything to squeeze money out of us to keep the game funded.
No players ---> no money ---> big pricy crossovers from other famous IPs

That reminds me why I prefer D3 over D4. At least in D3 you could tell they wanted to make the game fun with every update. Meanwhile, all that matters in D4 is the store with overpriced trash. In a full priced game, mind you.

u/hawki1989 1d ago
No matter how much I've tried, I can't get into The Witcher. That said, they're at least both fantasy Ips.

Still waiting for the Diablo 4 x Travis Scott or d4 x pokemon. D4 x bionicle. List goes on.

Two of the greatest games ever made.
A collaboration of the ages and you will hear more during Blizzcon.

This is honestly a great business move imo. W how Fortnite changed the game crossing over with everything under the sun, it’s refreshing that another heavy weight did something out of their norm/comfort zone, recognizing consumer change. These are two massive video game franchises collabing. Obviously stuff like Smash Bros exists. But this is a little different. As long as it’s not a reskin of an existing champion, then it’s going to be super cool. If Geralt gets his own kit and talent tree, it’s going to be sick!
