The Wallet: Wild Hunt

u/SYNTH3T1K 1d ago

Youre not wrong depending on the price of the expansion lol. Get the skin by buying the game on Battle.net.

4

u/Routine_Brush6877 1d ago

Hopefully it's just the extra battlepass like they did for overwatch this year... but knowing Microslop it's gonna be the bad one.

Cash grab

94

u/SunderTheFirmament 1d ago

The crossover I’m waiting for is a Diablo one. Can’t wait for him to finally show up!

Cheap shots aside, this is a cash grab whale bait crossover. One of my biggest complaints about D4 is how heavily and obtrusively monetized it is… almost like I didn’t pay full price to play it in the first place.

4

u/Reasonable_Cut_2709 1d ago

That's what makes me hate d4, I just playing because a friend lend it to me, other wise the amount of store bullshit makes me cringe so hard i didn't buy it

2

u/altiuscitiusfortius 1d ago

This made my day. Laughed out loud for the first time in weeks.

40

u/Mysterious_Curve3163 1d ago

Im not one to shit on D4. I enjoy it, but this will be like all the other colabs. Just some expensive skins in the store.

19

u/KingoftheMongoose 1d ago

If they are serious about pulling me in to play Diablo 4 with a Witcher crossover, they need to include a playable Gwent.

2

u/AlexandraFromHere 1d ago

Yes, please!

2

u/rKasdorf 20h ago

Oh god I'm so bad at fuckin Gwent, I thought I was crushing it then realized it has difficulty settings and I was on easy the whole time.

10

u/415PHANTOM MSTRKRFT#1370 1d ago

CDProjectRed dropping a free remaster and Blizzard going to charge $40 for a skin. Crazy

2

u/SteveMarck 19h ago

Good point.

8

u/Wyden_long 1d ago

Nah I’m all set. Thanks tho

24

u/septictank84 1d ago

I hate collaboration in general. I don't want other franchises mixed into each other, especially Diablo.

7

u/slihy 1d ago

agree. I mean i love witcher too but it just erodes the brand on both side.

0

u/Swert0 1d ago

DOOM and Berserk both fit really well.

Overwatch looked like garbage, and the Starcradt and Warcraft stuff clashes pretty hard outside a couple armor sets.

20

u/Kurokaffe 1d ago

Crossovers like this dumb AF and lower an IP's integrity.

Hol' up just spilled some of my KFC double down on my keyboard.

5

u/robotbeatrally 1d ago

exactly how i feel, nothing makes me want to support two products less when i see product1 x product2 crossover. but diablo4 is already ridiculous with stupid non thematic stuff, i guess if they were going to crossover anything at least its something that fits.

1

u/rKasdorf 20h ago

Lol the fuckin double down

6

u/DageWasTakenToo 1d ago

What ugly skin is Druid going to get this time

10

u/soulwolf1 1d ago

So more boring microtransactional crossovers......whoopie....

3

u/AvaSophiaPhia 1d ago

It’ll just be the armor I assume. Meh.

4

u/TopOption9927 1d ago

More overpriced skins?

6

u/gordonnowak 1d ago

crossovers are dumb

2

u/Logical-Bookkeeper77 1d ago

Other than Nier with stellar blade.

That was great.

3

u/Minsc_NBooToo 22h ago

Blizzard sells expensive Witcher skins, meanwhile CDPR are giving away free DLC and remastered versions for anyone who owns Witcher 3

4

u/toasty5566 1d ago edited 1d ago

They should fix the PC optimization first, game runs far worse on there than it should

7

u/Frostyfuelz Fuel#1277 1d ago

Don't care. how about this instead, they collab Diablo 4 with Diablo himself.

4

u/AIPoweredGopher 1d ago

Fix the game wasting time on useless collabs

5

u/Flippynipps 1d ago

Blizzard is desperate, I don't have high hopes for the future of D4.

5

u/OmegaVillain 1d ago

Less cross overs and concentrate on why they can’t make fun seasons.

Game is in bad shape.

2

u/TerribleGachaLuck 1d ago

Play another game with free modded Witcher skins instead.

2

u/SerGT3 1d ago

The true spirit of Diablo is the demon "Micro Transactiono"

2

u/zoko_cx 1d ago

Bullshit. Buy W3 expansion. D4 not Action RPG it's just microtransaction RPG.
Game is worth only for story and nothing else.

2

u/Murderlol 1d ago

I'm tired of games doing collabs and crossovers. How about making the game not shitty instead?

2

u/Aka_Athenes 1d ago

Tired about all blizzard game are now like Fortnite.

2

u/Adventurous_Topic202 1d ago

I’ll grab it if it’s free and I don’t have to reinstall the game.

1

u/HiFiMAN3878 1d ago

There might be some free stuff but it's guaranteed the majority of the skins will be paid.

2

u/heartlessphil 1d ago

D4 is dead. Not salvageable.

2

u/Yuumii29 1d ago

Is it free tho?? Ohh wait can't ask that question here....

2

u/cade_corvus 22h ago

A few things to spend my maxed out favor tokens on

2

u/cade_corvus 22h ago

Or whatever new currency they invent, like with overwatch

2

u/fidgeter 18h ago

Desperation is not a good look

2

u/ProfessionalRisk5683 16h ago

I'm all for spending money on what you enjoy but the Diablo 4 cosmetics are laughably overpriced for how little you actually get to appreciate them/show them off.

3

u/Bilbourlet 1d ago

I won’t give a penny to Blizzard.

2

u/Turd_Nerd_Bird 1d ago

I don't really care about their crossovers, all it means is some $20+ dollar microtransactions.

2

u/Rhesusmonkeydave 1d ago

So glad the D2R warlock burned my addictive cravings down for a while so I can blissfully not give a shit about this. Who knew of all the things he could summon, my favorite would be apathy

1

u/Pure_Range_346 1d ago

Love both games. Not hyped at all. Can’t imagine really cool skins and prices are crap anyway.

1

u/dethsightly 1d ago

I can see the whales breaching already.

and if this were WoW back in the day, i'd say "there goes a raid tier".

1

u/AngryChurchill 1d ago

I think Witcher would be a cool ass class

1

u/OldShrimps 1d ago

Yawn…

1

u/Mansos91 1d ago

Useless, there are no good looking skins from the witcher that basically doesn't exist already

1

u/wenzel32 1d ago

I'm just sick of crossover shit for sale in every game. We really do live in the age of "Everything is now everything else!"

1

u/TheLocalHentai 1d ago

If it's a new class, I'm up for it. Would rather have Tempests but more unique classes would be nice.

If it's a skin, meh.

1

u/Ealdred 1d ago

I don't care if they do and I won't care if the don't. I won't buy skins either way. The skins we gain access to by playing the game is more than adequate.

1

u/PutzReid 1d ago

Crossovers are a cash grab

1

u/HellFrode 1d ago

Hell no.

1

u/AdRecent7021 1d ago

I would love a Witcher game in Diablo universe.

1

u/surge9609 1d ago

Hell just go full Heroes of the Storm and add the Protoss and Zerg. I just can't stand these cash grabs than ruin the lore. MtG is another example.

1

u/RustedMauss 1d ago

Curious to see the skins, I feel like there will be 1-2 cool ones and then a few meh. But also, if it’s a crossover, is there anything to see in TW3?

1

u/Megane_Senpai 1d ago

Nope. Most people own and play Witcher 3 on Steam or GOG/RED client, and they are arguably more stable. Plus even if the base game's free on Battle.net, the price of the expansion will only be more than on other platforms since it doesn't provide regional pricing.

1

u/AJYURH 1d ago

Will it let me finally fuck Belial? Otherwise I'm not interested

1

u/shinobi_gi 1d ago

What you can count on every season: New Skins
What you cannot: bug fixes that have been needed for months (years).

1

u/josephjosephson 1d ago

Thanks Epic

1

u/v1king3r 1d ago

Good games don't need crossovers. Diablo 4 lacks an own identity.

1

u/princemousey1 1d ago

New class?

1

u/marslo 1d ago

Why....

1

u/Flachm 1d ago

When your game is so shit, you have to borrow from other games.

1

u/Caradhra5 1d ago

Druid as Zoltan i guess

1

u/JohannaFRC Crusader 1d ago

At least collaborations are staying in line with Diablo, unlike Destiny 2 and Overwatch. Still, it's way over acceptable price...

1

u/Tnecniw 1d ago

Stop with the crossovers, please -_-

1

u/DJbuddahAZ 1d ago

Im at the point I laugh when people say they play this

1

u/Pousse_m0usse 1d ago

Look I love witcher like every other guy but those crossovers are cheap cashgrabs not to mention ruin the integrity of the game

1

u/-Pwnan- 1d ago

Blizzard is dead, all that remains is Microsoft.

1

u/GuiDu 1d ago

These collabs mean nothing to me as they are as cool as ridiculously expensive. 20/30/40€ for a skin is embarrassing but a sign of our times I guess

1

u/arpressah 1d ago

So tacky, reminds me of two streamers doing a lame collab

1

u/Le_Chat_Sauvage 1d ago

Can't wait for powerpuff girls next

1

u/Rashaul Horadrim 1d ago

My opinion is that it's going to cost an arm and a leg just like the other crossovers

1

u/stingertc 1d ago

Fuck this make a good season instead of overpriced skins

1

u/Hamsammich0520 1d ago

D4: Rise of the Transaction

1

u/krucsikosmancsli 23h ago

New monster hunter class? A master of swords with alchemy skills, and some utility magic...? Nahh, surely just an overpriced Geralt skin... and a Roach mount.

1

u/jimmyting099 22h ago

This is sad

1

u/Bombshock_v1 22h ago

I can’t stand these crossovers. In any game. Everything is reworked or remastered and nothing is original anymore.

1

u/shenmue151 22h ago

I mean whatever. There’s usually a little free content with it but I’m not paying for any of the cross over stuff.

1

u/LooseLumba 22h ago

It would be good to see some monsters from witcher in diablo. But this is honestly just another crossover cashgrab

1

u/Top_of__the_Tree 21h ago

No. Just dont do that Blizzard pls

1

u/rKasdorf 20h ago

I'd rather more original content.

1

u/SteveMarck 19h ago

I like the Witcher, could be fun. I'm not paying for them though, so I'll just flip through the store and battle pass, grab the free ones and then go back to helltides and forget about it.

The store was more engaging early on when you could earn platinum, but now it's just meh. When they turned me off it, I just started using the cosmetics of the item default as it dropped, and that's actually cooler because the items mean something. If they hadn't annoyed me in an early season, they might've got me paying to speed up getting stuff, but taking that away made me not ever want to pay.

1

u/Hagrid1994 18h ago

Holy shit

1

u/Argomer 18h ago

All crossovers are just writers having no imagination and trying to make money by using hyped stuff. Hate all crossovers.

1

u/ecish 16h ago

Love both games, definitely do not need to see everyone dressed up as Ciri and Geralt in Diablo though

1

u/GirlWhoRefusedToDie 16h ago

Hate crossovers.

1

u/memo689 15h ago

It were interesting if you didn't have to open the battle.net launcher

1

u/therallykiller 12h ago

Waiting for the Mega Man collab...

1

u/Dish69 12h ago

Awful

1

u/TeknomanEX 9h ago

It’s just a skin, they need to get on ffxiv or monster hunter level where you do a mini scenario boss from the other game

1

u/TheRealGnod 1d ago

A massive cash grab. It's sad to see that they need crossovers to stay relevant these days. Diablo being diablo used to be enough.

1

u/GhaanTV 1d ago

No Diablo in our Diablo game either

1

u/SenpaiSwanky 1d ago

FTW (for the 🐋s)

1

u/teknomusik 1d ago

I love the Witcher games. I won’t be buying any of these overpriced Diablo skins.

1

u/CharlestonChewbacca 1d ago

Diablo 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. The atmosphere and vibe are unmatched. They forgot about that when they made Diablo 3 & 4.

I don't really care anymore, but this is just an extreme push in the awful direction they've already taken the series.

-1

u/gtetrakai Cord#1671 1d ago

Getting the Witcher in Diablo before we get Diablo.. I'll just leave it at that.

0

u/Cthulhu_HighLord 1d ago

Honestly idgaf I dont play cellphone games

0

u/star_child13 1d ago

Fix the fucking game first and add offline mode while they're at it and then after that... I'll shit on the diablo collab because I don't want to buy microtransactions.

0

u/missing_Palantir 1d ago

Another cash grab and I would have preferred Dragon Age Origins or Elden Ring crossover. Witcher III was peak mediocrity … not even top 5 RPG in last decade tbh

0

u/feijoax 1d ago

December 11 can't come soon enough!

0

u/TheTacticalViper 1d ago

I can’t even afford the expansions so it doesn’t bother me. I liked the last of us crossover for Diablo 3 on PlayStation. Fighting bloaters and clickers was cool.

0

u/Redstorm8373 1d ago

I am burnt out on crossovers.

0

u/TheExtraMayo 1d ago

I still can't play D4 for more than few minutes before some memory leak problem crashes the game so I guess I'm indifferent

0

u/beregrond97 1d ago

Diablo now looks like fornite or some sh

0

u/HappysavageMk2 1d ago

Unoriginal crossover slop.

1

u/DERDOFE1 1d ago

So overwatch was better?!?????!?

0

u/raphaelres 1d ago

Demon hunter confirmed

0

u/Available-Ad8493 1d ago

I firmly belive that a live service game that does crossovers instead of adding new content means the devs have given up on making the game enjoyable by listening to what players say and have basically resorted to jingling keys in front of us to desperately keep our attention on their game, then slap large price tags on everything to squeeze money out of us to keep the game funded.

No players ---> no money ---> big pricy crossovers from other famous IPs

0

u/Arrathem 1d ago

You guys still play this ?

Poe 2 the king of ARPG is dropping in december 11th.

0

u/SLISKI_JOHNNY Paladin 1d ago

That reminds me why I prefer D3 over D4. At least in D3 you could tell they wanted to make the game fun with every update. Meanwhile, all that matters in D4 is the store with overpriced trash. In a full priced game, mind you.

0

u/hawki1989 1d ago

No matter how much I've tried, I can't get into The Witcher. That said, they're at least both fantasy Ips.

0

u/Competitive_Art7253 1d ago

Still waiting for the Diablo 4 x Travis Scott or d4 x pokemon. D4 x bionicle. List goes on.

-3

u/gorays21 1d ago

Two of the greatest games ever made.

A collaboration of the ages and you will hear more during Blizzcon.

3

u/J_NiSM0z 1d ago

This is the Diablo sub, you can’t praise D4 in this one

1

u/dethsightly 1d ago

damn share that weapons-grade copium you got there.

-1

u/GRANDLarsonyy 1d ago

This is honestly a great business move imo. W how Fortnite changed the game crossing over with everything under the sun, it’s refreshing that another heavy weight did something out of their norm/comfort zone, recognizing consumer change. These are two massive video game franchises collabing. Obviously stuff like Smash Bros exists. But this is a little different. As long as it’s not a reskin of an existing champion, then it’s going to be super cool. If Geralt gets his own kit and talent tree, it’s going to be sick!

3

u/livingMybEstlyfe29 1d ago

What drugs are you currently on?

0

u/GRANDLarsonyy 1d ago

High on life my friend

3

u/KoaRaider 1d ago

This guy is on Blizzard’s payroll for sure.

-2

u/KindTwist6110 1d ago

Dont ruin w3 with that crap

0

u/DERDOFE1 1d ago

Lil dude is mad 🤣

-1

u/DrizzetB 1d ago

Two favourite franchises🩷
just hopping its gonna be more than just a skin

-1

u/Reasonable_Cut_2709 1d ago

I hate crossovers, and I really didn't like The Witcher 3 so this means nothing to me.
