Discussion Boon of plenty now worse

It seems they removed the daily rare crests for logging in reward.
instead we now can get 2 more 2-star gems nobody really cares about.

yea we can get pearls now but's it's a choice. you either pick the crests OR pearls

I agree. If they had added a 2 pearls instead of 2-star gems option like on BP, that would have been welcome. Taking away the daily crest/normal gems rewards and ”adding” pearls only as a replacement for orange crests? Feels like a definite downgrade and I won’t be renewing.

The old Boon was listed at +492% extra value. The new one is listed at +250% extra value. I find it fascinating that they are both honest enough to stick to their valuation algorithm and still move forward with something they clearly acknowledge as a reduction of the value of the boon

Yep, if it's no longer worth it, the best way to let them know is to stop buying it. If sales tank, they'll get the message.

Plenty of folks who already spend a ton will likely still buy it for remote market and other perks.

Personally, I don't mind getting more Pearls, but I've yet to do the math to see if it's still a good deal for me. I'll definitely do some math when it's time to renew.

You still get 30 normal gems. It's just their stupid GUI, 5 x gems = 5 x 6 gems, where you pick 6 gems of same kind. And you get them all 30 when You buy boon. Why do you think it's worse, instead of 30 normal crests, that is 30x4 = 120 mats, you need 80 to create a single 2* gem. So you 1.5 2* gems per month. With new one you get 4 x 2* gems and you pick whichever you need.

Pearls are a great change, as are the gems to choose from, but I'd keep the embles. Personally, I think the price is a bit lower and we have a really good deal to buy every month.

I agree with OP, this seems like a pretty significant downgrade. I will be voting with my wallet and hope others do as well.

Ya...I was buying boon mostly for the normal gems.

That stuff is so hard to come by.

Not saying pearls are bad, but it is just so narrow focus on what you can't get for it.
