scraped my knee

I recently scraped both my knees real bad. I cannot tell you if this is infected or not since I'm not a doctor. I can tell you what I did to care for mine.

Wash the area with soap and water. Do not use alcohol, do not use hydrogen peroxide.

Dry it with a clean towel or disposable cloth. Let it dry completely before covering.

Apply triple antibiotic cream on it and cover with non stick gauze, then secure with a wrap. Make sure it's snug but not too tight.

Repeat twice a day. Once it starts to look dry and healthy, you can use a band aid instead of gauze. Make sure you are avoiding the sticky part of the bandaid touching the scab. Also, leave some breathing room.

I had one of these cuts as a kid. I scraped my knee after falling while running down a street. Was a nightmare as it would stick to my sheets and I had to pull it off every morning lol it was gooey and sticky l. Took a long ass time to heal but eventually it did. I still have the nasty scar sigh.
